You and your team have been captured inside this laboratory, which is a secret research and experimental facility. You wake up in the quarantine cell, having been previously affected by the virus. It is dark in the main laboratory and you realise you and your team are alone. Everyone has evacuated the facility and it’s left to you to find the antidote and contain the virus. You should use your intuition, intelligence and imagination to find all the clues and solve the games, puzzles and mysteries, but above all, have fun!! You only have 60 minutes before the virus is released and you become zombified
12 escape rooms
I wanted to do this room before it is retired and replaced at the end of Feb 2024. It wasn't as immersive experience as I have had in the past I think as some of the decor to make it a bit scary was fake severed hands, spiders etc. this did make it all feel a bit fake overall to me. There were some interesting puzzles and we definitely got a bit stumped at times. The maths puzzles were not executed well by us and as a team we were not working quickly so did not make it out in time. We also failed on some of the searching tasks. I was doing the room with two second time escapees and they very much enjoyed themselves so a good time was had by all in the end even if we didn't quite get out in time. Our GM lets us play the last puzzle after stopping the clock which made us feel like we didn't really miss out. I look forward to trying out what replaces this room in the coming months.
Mostly flowed well. A few four digit padlocks which meant trying them all but this was fine. Two 6 digit codes at the end could have been clearer if one of them was a different length which needs entering first. Bit too much maths for me but if you use the pen and paper supplied with the calculator you will be fine. We tried to do too much quickly in our heads stupidly and failed.
Room was tired but being retired very soon so that makes sense. Props were fun to engage with and the design of the room was ok. Special effects were broken which was fine as I didn't fancy any jump scares.
Treated well by our GM
Easy
Plenty of public car parks in Banbury. The train station one is the closest.
