Fun and challenging at the same time. Not your typical escape room

My husband and I completed this room with seconds to spare. I think this game has good bones (no pun intended). I liked the mix of logic and dexterity challanges. There was definitely a wow factor to the ending, and number of unique elements we haven't encountered before. That said, the negatives were enough for an underwhelming experience overall. I strongly dislike having clues given by an in-person Game Master visit. Having someone enter and exit the room interrupted the flow. I want to give our Game Master credit for effort, I just didn't buy that they were a character and not an employee. I also HATED that we started in the dark with only 1 flashlight. It meant we had to take turns working until we got the lights on and it made for a boring start. We spent nearly 15 minutes stuck because a door that was supposed to slide open was jammed in the closed position. We just assumed we needed another component to unlock it and I felt like the Game Master should have been paying enough attention to be aware that we weren't missing anything and the game was faulty. There was SO much crawling between rooms. A larger group might limit this, but for two people it felt constant. The final task didn't work. We won.... except the sensors didn't recognize that and the Game Master had to come fiddle with things to make it work, which made the big reveal less impactful. I wouldn't recommend Surelocked In based on this room, but it won't prevent us from trying another room before formulating an opinion.
The props were clearly well used. I felt paper clues should have been protected, or reprinted. The rooms themselves looked great in terms of attention to detail.
Yes
Heavy on hands-on puzzles which is always fun, especially for groups with different skill sets.

Not scary

There are some elements that a younger child could participate in, but I think a mix of 8+ and adults would be ideal
Yes
2 things and the Game Master was not aware from watching us/had to be told. One thing held us up for a considerable amount of time, and I would have been upset if it prevented us from finishing.
Yes
Sort of. The Game Master gave in-person clues, in character.

Get ready to crawl. a lot.
Physical impairments (or even stiff joints) would make this room impossible. You HAVE to crawl on hands and knees.

I think this is Surelocked In’s best game. Great for all ages and levels of experience. There are several cool physical puzzles/obstacles. This can be fun but is not the most physically accessible with no way to bypass.

I am extremely happy we decided to try out this room. The staff was extremely friendly, and the prices were significantly better than other rooms around. The puzzles in this room were creative, unique, and challenging. I loved some of the immersive elements and hands on approach to this room. There was one clue that made zero sense and slowed us down. We also had some logistical issues with part of the room they were having to temporarily use an alternative item for. However we were still able to complete the room with two minutes to spare. We completed the room with 3 people, but I think having a forth person would’ve helped. Overall very happy with the experience and the room. It had a few wow factor elements that truly made it a unique experience. It was not a scary room, and the theming was great.
The room was fun, but there was a puzzle or two that did not flow well. There was a logistical issue, but also one clue simply didn’t make sense. However the room was still extremely fun, and had some great puzzles.
I was very happy with some of the prop elements. I do wish there had been music in the room.
The staff was very friendly and stayed in character.
Limited
Finding free street parking was difficult. We wanted to avoid having to pay for garage parking.
