At Odds With The Gods

This is just okay. Its all locks and a ton of them. Nothing tech at all. Felt old school of ecape rooms. Not sure I would do another room here.

I wanted to love love love this room but was stymied by just so many padlocks which took me out of any of the pretty theming. The room feels very undecorated compared to the other room I played at this location (Fright). Not linear, but also not intuitive. The story video mentions that you must complete the tasks "by sunset" and frankly, it was a huge missed opportunity not to set the lighting to change into "sunset" the closer you get to the end.

Very fun themed first generation room Great theme, fun puzzles, stayed on theme throughout Large space so big groups can easily be working on pieces throughout the time in Ancient Greece Excellent service from our GM as well. Big fan of the location as well as the space is great, easy parking and a fun restaurant anchor the location parking lot so you can plan a day of it Few tid bits: No crawling Good light throughout Brush up on math and Roman numerals Not all puzzles are in direct proximity of their next-step in the room If you get stuck, you might not have everything you need

Good room but over hyped. Several of the locks were sticky so we go stuck on puzzles we solved because we couldn't open them. Great theming and bright room with some unique puzzles.

Pretty hard room! My partner and I struggled with the just 2 of us as experienced players, and took about 86 out of the 90 minutes provided to complete this experience. It felt like you unlock spaces super early in the game and you had to stay there for the remainder of the time - it definitely has the illusion that it continues, which I was probably stressing so much with the time remaining, but it was overall pretty fun! The puzzles weren’t too difficult, but we did lean on that hunt button especially in the end when we thought we were super pressed for time - I definitely recommend 4-6 non experienced players or 2-3 really experienced players for this one!

This room was tough. The clues were very challenging, and we just could not get in synch. I would recommend but beware of getting frustrated.

My husband and I did this room off of his searching online. We love a Greek theme and this room definitely delivered. My biggest critique in retrospect is that it did require quite a bit of preexisting knowledge on the Gods and what they were worshipped for. We were fine cause we're nerds, but I can see how this could slow people way down. The sheer amount of puzzles is quite overwhelming. This was a very hard room for just 2 people.

This room solidified the Escape Effect as one of our favorite escape room companies! While we may have liked the Sherlock game slightly more, the theming is a dream come true for any Greek mythology fans. This one’s also a great room for groups since there are several puzzles you can be working on at once. Our little group of 2 had a fun time running around scavenging, figuring out clues, and appreciating the Easter eggs in the room :)

Great game there are several puzzles that were lengthy and repetitive but not annoyingly complex. There were a couple cool reveals and the props in the room were solid.

It was a little bit lock heavy, but still very atmospheric. Nothing groundbreaking in the way of new puzzles, but what they did, they did well and with clever twists. We enjoyed it and plan to go back to do the rest of their rooms some day
