Erwin Otto Eduard von Bälz was a famous citizen of Bietigheim. He became known as the founder of modern medicine and the personal physician of the Japanese royal family. The Japanese Garden was created in his honor, in which his katana – the Japanese samurai sword – was also on display. This valuable sword was a gift from the Tennos, the Japanese Emperor. But now the beautifully decorated and hand-forged katana has disappeared! After a few days, the message came from the famous art thief "The Gambler"... he gave the city of Bietigheim two hours to defeat him in a battle and save the sword.
