The environment was super creepy but the puzzles where disjointed. Points for set but minus points for difficulty and customer service.

The creepy red light on the old dolls looked great, and set us up hoping for more, which was not delivered. I recommend to people to NOT go here. I think these rooms were low mediocre to begin with, and are poorly maintained.
The majority of the things in the room, were not part of the puzzles. So you have to look at a lot of stuff, to find what you are suppose to be looking for. This lead to a frustrating feeling, and long gaps before those great escape room βAhahβ moments when you find clues. MANY dolls and mannequines had βDo Not Touchβ stickers on them, which I felt like would hinder any players curiosity.
I was so excited to do this game. I loved the name and the theme- DOLL ATTIC! The dolls and lighting looked cool, initially. But the view from the hallway into the room, was the high point of the game. After entering, some of the dolls were so tattered and dry rotten, I remember picking up a clump of cotton stuffing and fabric scrap from a doll that had fallen to the floor and saying to my son βTHIS IS NOT A CLUE.β We laughed acknowledging how run down it was. My sonβs friend picked up a large Raggedy Andy doll, excitedly, thinking it related to a puzzle and when we shone a light on itβs face, big coffee colored stain on the white fabric. Just very dirty place. Made you feel sad about the establishment. Sad for the owners, even though I imagine this is a cash cow.π€·π»ββοΈ
The host was about 5 min late. But they were as nice as could be. They called me to tell me they would be delayed. The host was the nicest part of the whole establishment. The owners are lucky to have them. Iβm not going to say who they were, because I donβt want my bad review to be tied this person in anyway, not their fault.

I love escape rooms. I donβt mind paying for these modern works of art, which are great group fun. After paying and going in to this Gulf Coast escape room, it seemed so over-priced immediately for how pitiful the effort, that was put into making and maintaining this room.
No. The puzzles seemed surface layer tacked on to the decorated room.
Hard
It was hard, because the puzzles were not intuitive. For 1 thing, you are suppose to add up some Roman Numerals, and that seems like a tough conclusion to come to, when there are no instructions to do that.
Mechanical
Sound effects- good and creepy. Minimal amount of light- and it worked just right. Very low tech, which is often great, but these puzzles were not good.

Yes
Yes, several , a key was lost earlier in the day, so the host came in to help when we got to that. The cameras showing us playing were down, so the game host had no idea of where we were in the game. An element was not re-set, so I easily got a code to finish the game. The finale at Gulf Coast in New Orleans is that Mardi Gras beads drop down from a magnet box. But they were out of beads, so just a box flap opened and nothing came out. Very anti-climatic.

Not at all
Not physical, but the majority of puzzles had to be solved on the floor, which was filthy. It was a rug and it was covered in human hair balls and dust. And Iβm not a nut about cleanliness. It was just an unwelcoming, but not clever environment. And getting on the floor may be hard for some players.
It would be ok. There is a small amount of color use. But no one should pay good money to do this game anyway.
