Secret Subway is our newest and most difficult room, this is why we decided to make it 75 minutes long. The atmosphere of the room is reminiscent of Jules Verne, it is a true steampunk room that was created based on a true story with a twist. You enter the world of an inventor who would deserve all the glory but was sadly forgotten about – you will also realise this as you turn on their fantastic inventions! You final goal is to find the name of the inventor and escape from the trap they set up! As you may be accustomed to at E-Exit, this escape room is also full of surprising twists and turns and effects you wouldn’t even think of. We tried our best to create a room that provides maximum challenge and experience, and based on our players’ feedback, we succeeded! Of course, the final moments of the room are absolutely unique as well. Secret Subway is especially recommended to experienced players and enthusiasts; beginners should choose one of our easier rooms first! The room is recommended for bigger teams.

The staff is very friendly. The room was more task oriented than puzzle oriented. Ending was fun.

I’m 64 rooms in at this point, and Secret Subway is one of the best I’ve ever done. Trust me, do it.

One of the best rooms in our almost 50 different rooms. We loved it. Great riddles and a lovely decoration and acustic/sound and effects.

Secret Subway in Budapest is highly regarded, and it certainly lives up to its reputation, as well in Gamedesign, but also in difficulty. The experience was immersive, with multiple rooms and an impressive number of puzzles. Despite being exhausting when attempted by just two players, the story remained engaging. The room had a vibrant atmosphere and included a special game element that adds to the uniqueness, though it’s best left unspoiled. However, the initial room felt abit cramped, raising doubts about accommodating three to four players comfortably. The puzzles were very challenging, making it unsuitable for beginners. Overall, the experience was enjoyable and allowed for full immersion into the story. One puzzle was unclear in its execution and could have been better designed, but this was with the help of the gamemaster a minor issue. Despite the difficulty, the room provided a rewarding and fun challenge.

I liked the story of this experience, it is something I have never done before. The story was well thought out with twists and turns throughout. Some puzzle witnessed here which I have not came across before and were very enjoyable. We are English and had no problem understanding the game as the GM spoke in English and all of the puzzles were easy to understand. The overall achievement at the end of the game was worth all of the hard work. The way to exit the room was also equally as fun!

Definitely up there in my top 5. Unique puzzles and amazing set design. Great hosting too. Don't miss this game!

Very interesting game with some clever mechanics. Modern design with all the puzzles fully integrated into the game environment. Excellent GM support (and the game itself is mostly language-independent). Definitely deserves its spot among the top games in Budapest.

3rd Generation room (no padlocks). Steam punk style with machines to get working. Very tough. GM claimed we just got out but there’s no chance. In all honesty just too hard and obscure for us.
“With a friendly host and immersive environment full of puzzles, it was a highlight ...to Budapest.“
