Permanently Closed - Adel Carter, better known as "the beach girl", was found dead on the beach in 1931, on Long Island, New York. The young actress was dressed up and apparently came from a party on a nearby boat. What shocked her death was the double life that the girl led and the mysterious notes that she herself left in her private diary and in the last letter he wrote. Among them is the cryptic phrase: "Life is beautiful when one only has twenty-four hours left." Despite multiple suspects, all lovers of Carter, this crime has gone unpunished.
