ESCAPE BLAIR WITCH is an immersive, multi-room escape experience that brings to life Lionsgate’s iconic blockbuster film franchise, Blair Witch. Players begin their journey at the Burkittsville Ranger’s Station, nestled in the Black Hills Forest, on a hunt for information into the disappearance of a few local college students. Do you believe in the stories about the Blair Witch? Was there an accident in the woods or did something far more sinister take place?

Loved this! Felt like I was in the world of the movie and I definitely felt spooked. The puzzles were fun and everyone in the group had a chance to work on something

Like the other Egan escape Producrions, this is much more about the set design than anything. The setup is really wonderfully done and you do feel transported into the Blair Witch story. The gameplay however is not so great. You are only allowed so much time in each area so you may feel rushed along. A live actor joined our team and we basically showing us how to solve things right away so we didn’t even have the chance to puzzle out the back half of the experience. All in all, it was a creepy vibe and a fun experience if you’re looking for an immersive set but you can pass on this one if you’re looking for great puzzles.

This game was really fun. Spooky but not over the top scary. It is a public game and we lucked out to have people who were collaborative to play with. There is an actor who pushes you along which could be frustrating depending on how much you get stuck. Our experience was great. Really enjoyed the sets and heightened moments.

Amazing room!! The live actor really made the experience much more immersive.

Some crawling required, but I think you could get by with only some of your group doing it.

We went there after doing the SAW experience and it was also very scary and very fun and so realistic I liked it more than the SAW

Overall, a fun experience and our actor Maya was excellent. She was great!! Great set dressing, the puzzles left a lot to be desired
Going to this “escpae room” is a let down if you care about puzzles and critical thinking. Lazy design, made for the masses or “first time” players.
One of the best dressed environments I’ve seen
Our actor was great.

Immersive theater
I don’t think there’s a deep story here or anything. Just scary random stuff
Easy
Trivial and they shove you across the finish line if you get stuck even a little bit

Might be scarier for those that scare easy

If you care more about set dressing than gameplay you will probably like this room.
I need to preface this with the fact that good puzzles are the most important aspect of escape rooms to me. The constant prodding from the actor is frustrating for people who derive enjoyment from solving puzzles on their own. I felt like cattle being driven from room to room. Would not recommend doing this room with more than 4 people if you don’t want to feel cramped.
To me, the only redeeming quality of this room and the establishment in general is the set dressing. Great stagecraft, decent props.
I wouldn’t expect to be treated poorly at an escape room company. My group was treated normally.
Yes
I will say it is different in that it feels closer to a haunted house or maze than an escape room. It leans far more into theatrics than gameplay.
The story was “fine.”

The theming of this room is a lot of fun, but just like the others they really usher you through it so it feels like an escape museum. The puzzles make sense enough so of all the rooms from this company, this one is probably the best for actual escape room esque.
Really fun sets, looked the part for sure but I did expect more nature
Our GM seemed to get annoyed with our game play.. it was weird

This may be one of my favorite escape games and overall immersive experience so far. It was as close to being in a movie in real-time as you can get. The actor that we had was amazing! Kept in character, helped us move along at a reasonable pace, but without spoon-feeding us clues. After a bit he felt like part of our group. The set is unreal and the tech is some of the best that I've ever seen. Do. Not. Miss.

The set design and tech within the environment was some of (if not the) best I've ever experienced. Amazing!
