Great Scott—Biff’s at it again! He’s stolen Doc Brown’s newest time travel device to sabotage the timeline for his gain. Follow Doc’s clues to find the prototype, track down Biff and save the day before you’re outatime. No escape room in the past, present or future has ever been like this.

Unlike the Jurassic World room this felt like your traditional escape room but with more technology infrastructure. Theming was probably the best I’ve seen given the IP. Overall being a fan of the film it fulfilled all of my hopes and dreams for an immersive experience.

We had an amazing time! We have done many escape rooms and this one was a great change of pace. Our game master was Josh and he made it so fun for us. It’s a must see when you’re visiting universal. Highly recommend!!!

After hearing many horror stories about how this wasn’t a true Escape Room we decided to visit as a group of 2 and we were paired with another group of 2. I was prepared for this to be the worst Escape Room I’ve ever done, but I really enjoyed that you went on an adventure and move from room to room. The best bit. Out of 100,000 people in approximately 15,000 groups we were the fastest team ever! And we weren’t even trying to be fast! The staff are awesome. Venue is smart. They even made us special pin badges because they were so amazed at how fast we did.

This was closer to a traditional escape room than the Jurassic World one. I think I liked this one better of the two. It did help to have knowledge of the Back to the Future movies, but not hugely. It was cute and well done.

The experience is made up of multiple rooms and you have about 9 minutes in each room. If you fail to complete the room you are moved into the next room regardless but they give you a rating not based on whether you escaped or didn’t but more on how many rooms you completed the challenges in. I could see this being a disappoint to escape room fans, but personally I didn’t mind it because it provided a unique experience. Some of the puzzles were incredibly easy, a couple were frustrating and not as innovative as they could’ve been, but not bad. As an officially licensed escape room, the theming is incredible, along with some great time travel effects. Regardless of its flaws I would highly recommend this to any avid Back to the Future fan

Not worth the $ for a badly put together experience! Did not meet or even approach expectations. You're sharing the time with others and depending on who you get it can drastically change how you feel. The puzzles are bad and there aren't any thrills that make the experience interesting.

If you love Back to the Future this escape room experience is for you. The theming is fun and nostalgic, there are also puzzles for of things to solve for all types of puzzle fans. Not the most fun escape room especially considering not everything is interactive. Additionally if you are unable to complete a puzzle you a moved to the next room automatically.

Gameplay

Only a few challenging puzzles. This felt a lot like a walk through or parallel of the films which could be fun for some people

Atmosphere

As with most Universal theming the special effects and move like sets are cool to see.

Customer service

More of an attendant style of GM. If you do not complete a puzzle faster you are forced to the next space.

Man whoever keeps leaving bad reviews for Universal, you're F'ing clowns and just want something to cry about. We know "they're not REAL escape rooms and they shuffle you along" we know.... read up on it before you play and you might be informed prior to stumbling into a good thing and whining and bitching that it doesn't fall into a cookie cutter template of what you feel an escape game should be defined as. Stop the bs and stop ruining the reputation of these pretty awesome experiences for others searching for good games on here. We're pushing up on 350 rooms and can say with enthusiasm that we loved both of their games. Jurassic was by all accounts as gen 3 as it gets with excellent theming and some great puzzles, (definitely not an easy room especially with 2 people). Back to the future was slightly more mechanical and had a more classic escape game feel, still with some very solid tech. Had a great time all the way around. Also, if you're knocking it based on price, for the average fun seeking person, yes they're pricey even for an already pricey market, but for an enthusiast, if the expense is an issue, pick a different hobby. Me personally, I don't mind paying a little more for full immersion. Obviously, Universal is inherently expensive because the theming is over the top (especially with Jurrasic).
