The long drive has taken the last ounce of energy out of your group. Your car slowly rolls up to the run-down driveway. If it wasn’t for the large red neon sign that reads Motel Betty, you would have missed it in the thunderstorm. Your group makes your way inside, only to find an empty front desk with a keycard that reads "011." Tired and not wanting to look for somewhere else to spend the night, you grab the keycard and head through the dark corridor. Little do you know, this will be a night filled with horror and insanity.

Broke my foot here. For real. Fractured my foot trying to escape from Betty. Still loved the room.

This is another great room from Omescape. The immersion is fantastic and very cool puzzles. I have completed 3 rooms at this location. My biggest complaint is that every game that i've played had technical issues. It is so frustrating because i could see the potential in this game in particular and it would have been much more fun and so much better if it was working but it turned out to be a frustrating experience. The Game master came in late to assist us but we were already fed up. Sorry Omescape, 3 strikes and your out. At $60 a pop, it's not worth it. I recommend RSG adventures, Imaginarium, and Escape Games Canada.

Best room at this location. 2 hr room. Great theme. Live actor with jump scares. Interesting and fun high tech puzzles

Fantastic room. By far the best out of the 3 we played on 8/11/23 at this location. Solid puzzles, great use of the space, just enough NPC interaction to create tension and a fantastic, excitement filled finale. Play this room if you don't mind horror. They give a LOT of warnings about its scare factor but it's really not thaaaaat bad.

Without Spoiling anything: Epic game, maybe the best escape room in Toronto, and surely one any enthusiast in the city must do. Really good use of a live actor in terms of a horror game. Great set, good tech. Go play it. My personal criticisms, the fact that i liked it so much is the reason why i am also so critical, because i hope they take it to the next level in their upcoming room. -They shouldnt give you any backround story in the beginning other than the fact that you take refuge from the rain in this motel - everything else should be uncovered naturally! -The puzzles: alot of clever ones, but some were janky, more of your classic escape room puzzles, that can often times have quite abstract logic - the puzzles should originate organically, "mimetically", from the set. The best puzzles were the ones that involved a degree of terror to them, that seperated and isolated the group, that meshed with the setting. -The hint system could be frustrating to use -More scares! and there were lots of scares! but i think they could have even ramped it up. -The second half, though having some great moments, also got a little cheesy, in narrative and in puzzles, and kind of broke the seriousness which seems crucial to the sense of horror.\

Motel Betty!!!!! I have done 100 escape rooms and this one is a stand alone horror themed room for me!! Wow!! I loved this room so much! It is big, scary and so much fun! Completed it as a group of 2 but would be great with a large group! If you are looking to be scared, challenged, and have an awesome time in a well designed room with great game flow and a staff that obviously cares about you having fun, book Motel Betty!!!

I cannot say enough about this room. It is immersive, rewarding, incredibly scary, unique, it’s in the elite tier of rooms that has everything you could ever want. I. Was. Terrified. Super unique puzzles, the effects are next level, everything was in great condition and worked perfectly. This is a room everyone needs to do. And it’s 2 hours!!! Plus about 3 hours of recovery time 😂 But honestly the time flew by and we enjoyed every haunting minute of it. A+++++

I really wanted to like this room more than I actually did There were some really fun puzzles that fit the theme quite nicely, but there were also some puzzles that felt random and janky. The puzzling experience wasn’t as cohesive as I would have liked it to be. I played in a group of 6, and there were some moments where 2 people were figuring out a puzzle, while the others were standing around. For a 2 hr room and for the price we paid, I would have preferred more actor interaction. The times the actor did show up were fun though. The hint system would have been great IF we could hear what was being said. There is an automated, audio hint system. There is also spooky music plaything throughout the room. When you dial in for a hint, both the music and the hints play at the same time, so it makes it quite difficult to discern what is being said. We had some tech issues, but the GM gave us some extra time to compensate for them. Overall the experience was fine. Worth doing for sure, especially since it’s slim pickings when it comes to actor-led horror escape rooms in the GTA.
