5 escape rooms
Cool experience. As with the last time here it was well run and fun. Used lighting, but not in an annoying way. Good variety of puzzles and with a group of 5 there was pretty much always something for everyone to work on.
Good flow.

Escape Hour really has outdone themselves. The staff is super friendly (and their acting is great). They really helped the experience feel more immersive and they don’t break character. The hints they provide are only when warranted and they’re very well given. The decor and props are so well done and creative (I’m honestly still hoping for a plushie/ more merch of some of the characters). Everything contributes to the overall theme very well down to the scent of the room! The locks and gadgets needed for the puzzles are well explained and the overall flow of the puzzles go really well! There is also really creative use of co-op activities so you can work more closely with the members of your group (it also helps that this is a private experience). The time for the amount of puzzles is appropriate- my group of 3 used hints and we got everything In the last few moments but they all made sense. I can imagine this would be a very tough room depending on how ‘seasoned’ a group is but the staff is great with assistance. Of note, as their website states as well, in terms of physical demands, there are some instances where you will need to climb/ crawl, & raise your arms (for anyone with shoulder issues ) but I’m sure the staff would be more than happy to assist. Overall, this was a very enjoyable experience and they really set the bar high! You can tell a lot of thought and care has been put into creating this experience.

Escape Hour really sets the bar in the Seattle/Tacoma area IMO. This was our 16th room (2 players) and unfortunately the first one we’ve been unable to finish. The gameplay is great, there’s just SO much to do that you really need to keep a fairly snappy pace, and we simply ran out of time. Despite our disappointment in not finishing, this was a fantastic room, easily one of the best we’ve done. Great atmosphere (but no jump scares), a variety of clever puzzles (in addition to traditional locks), some higher-tech stuff, and some really creative elements. A+. If the owners are reading this review, feel free to reach out with a second-chance discount! 😂 FYI, there is some crawling, climbing, and back-and-forth between the two, as well as some dim lighting. EDIT: We went back about a month later and did this room again and WE ESCAPED - but guys, we really thought we were crushing it (how could we not, on a second attempt?) and it STILL took us almost the whole 70 minutes! 😂 It was still so much fun, and even though it was a do-over, we still found stuff we’d missed on our first attempt through. There were lots of opportunities to switch roles on the tasks we remembered (so even those felt like a new experience), but I had forgotten so many of the clever little details (lights! sounds! smoke?!) that experiencing them again was just as fun as the first time. I think this is where EH really excels - every square inch of the space is on-theme, immersive, and just so well-done and clever. Truly top-notch.

Awesome room with immersive atmosphere and really creative use of space to pack a huge amount into the room. We did 4 rooms at two different locations and the staff at Escape Hour were all extremely nice and helpful. We have small children and they were really patient and were great with them. This room starts out very dark and they accommodated the kids by adding some flashlights and lanterns so it wasn’t too scary for our 4 year old. These two rooms were definitely in the top tier of rooms we have done.

Insanely, detailed and well thought out storyline. So much fun, spooky but not scary. Staff were wonderful, would absolutely come here again.

The rooms were well designed and decorated. The gameplay included puzzles I would have never thought of. Some climbing and crawling are needed, so it would be helpful to bring along a physically smaller team member for some key assistance.

Good room that was packed to the brim with puzzles. It filled the entire 70 minutes. We struggled with the flow of the room for some reason, the sirens cove we never hit a point of standing around stuck not making progress, but it happened a few times in this room. The overall we enjoyed the experience. I’m a bigger guy 6’ 250+ pounds and was able the navigate the obstacles just fine.

Too much to do, too little time! Very expensive. That being said, the room and set design are amazing. Game master was great. But there is much physical activity including crouching, small tight spaces which exclude most of your group, and activities requiring upper body strength. I have done over 70 rooms and this was my first failure. There was no way for us to tackle all that was required in this room in the give time. Especially with tight spaces excluding many players at times.

Even though this was a 70 minute room, there was so much to do, too many puzzles, and tiny rooms only accessible to a small part of our group, there was no way we were going to escape. We have done over 70 rooms and this was our first failure

It should be extremely stressed that there is major physical activity involved, and you will not only need to crouch, but have sufficient upper body strength

The set design of this room is very good and immersive. The puzzles were fun and unique. My only complaint is that the climbing aspect of this game is very difficult and physical. It really hindered the experience. It was required to go up and down multiple times which was not very fun.
