You and your friends planned a trip to another city, on the internet you found a companion with a van Who was going to the same city to visit his relatives. A friendly driver who turned out to be a rural doctor did not raise any suspicions from anyone in the group, and you set off for the road. Very soon, you started to get drowsy. One, by one, all of you lost consciousness. After a while, you came to a dark, damp place. …….. Don’t sh*t your pants, I’ll be back very soon. Have fun !

This room was a ton of fun. It has a great set, some clever puzzles, and you end up doing a couple of things that I haven’t seen done in escape rooms before.
Split start, some innovative puzzles, and some things I’ve never seen before.
The set was next level. I was impressed.
We had the owner and his daughter for the two games we played this day and they were great.

A bit, and you can pay more for the “scare the crap out of us” experience.

It has low lighting, climbing and crawling, so unfortunately it’s not accessible for many with disabilities.

Finally did it! Finally met The Cannibal! Lots of fun. See my details for accessibility aspects worth noting. Great game in great condition. Upon reflection, we realized the actor did touch a few of us without warning that touching would be involved. For me, this knocks it down in rating and recommendation. Consent is key to a good spooky time! Or any time! With all that said, this game is a classic for a reason!!

We opted for “in between” spooky and shit your pants.

Some physicality needed (one person needs to climb, one person randomly selected needs to stand up on stool, and two more people self select to stand up on stools.) stools were a little wobbly and might be difficult for some.
I don’t believe it would be wheelchair accessible based on a few doorways. Also, the building had broken elevators we were not informed of. So this might be worth checking before coming if you can’t walk up a lot of stairs

One of our favorite escape rooms to date and the second one I've done at Lara's Labyrinth. This multi-room escape room experience was a blast from start to finish. We picked the regular version instead of the sh*t your pants version but it was still creepy and had a few scares that got our group into a very cautious mindset. Perfect for those groups that think they'd escape the killer in those slasher flicks! Our GM, Josie, was super nice and helpful throughout the entire thing and was sure to explain everything thoroughly before we began. Overall, the experience wasn't overly difficult and the clues flowed well enough that our group of 4 only needed to use one hint to escape with nearly 15 minutes to spare. I imagine this room would be far more fun if you chose to do it with full scares on. I definitely recommend this room for anyone who likes a creepy slasher experience and likewise don't recommend this is you scare easily, even the non-scary version.
Everything flowed throughout the experience. Only thing that gave me pause was the ending. It left us unsure if we had escaped or failed before they informed us that we were saved.
Definitely had used spooked despite having picked the tame version. I can only imagine how freaked out the scary version would've left us.
Our GM, Josie, was great. Our only complaint was that she sometimes tried to give us a hint when we hadn't asked for it or looked for overly long later in the game. This only happened once or twice. Otherwise, her nudges and help was spot on! If you prefer not to get any help unless you ask I recommend you mention this to your GM at the start.

Definitely left an impression! As expected of Lara's Labyrinth, this room was one of the most unique experiences I've been through.
Typical slasher/kidnapper story. Fit the theme quite nicely.
Medium
I imagine it gets harder if you pick the scary option.

You start out split up but the way you are split up is dependent on how many of you there are. This room allows for 7 players but I feel that'd be too many. As it is, there might be a point or two where 6 might get cramped but having that many sets of eyes can be super helpful during the scary version of this. Or, you know, extra sacrifices!
Scary
Creepy and spooky for the tame version. I imagine it can be downright terrifying if you select the sh*t your pants version.

Great game only made better by Maddie, the gm. We had a great time and I loved how the puzzles were so different from normal escape rooms. It was fun to do things we don't normally "get" to do in rooms. Maddie was awesome and we had booked 2 back-to-back rooms when she recommended we do this one instead of our originally-booked second room. I think she made a great rec and we were pleased with the level of difficulty. It wasn't too hard, but there were a couple sticking points we had to get through as a team of two. The ending felt super anti-climactic after the ending for Heart of Bastet, but it was still funny and played right into the theme. This felt like back to basics on an "escape" room with lots of unique takes on locks/combos/keys/etc.! I'm glad we did this one because it was a good challenge! Still a fair amount of "tech" involved to keep it from feeling super key/lock heavy.

This room was so unique and engaging! There was a wide variety of puzzles (lock and key, codes, item-based) and the game had a good balance of each. The flow of the room felt easy to follow and the pace of each section was well-balanced. The anxiety of wanting to escape the cannibal really helped push my group through the puzzles and made us move quickly. This room is definitely a gem and I could not recommend it more highly!
Very consistent storyline that was easy to follow.
The room was very immersive! I totally forgot about the outside world and only wanted to escape before the cannibal came back!
Drew was an amazing GM! So helpful and really only gave us hints when it was clear that we were needing direction

Not like any other game I’ve played before; it was very unique in both the puzzles and atmosphere.

Really fun new room in San Diego! This is one of the few rooms I’ve encountered where you are actually encouraged to stand on things to solve puzzles. It adds a really cool extra dimension to the game. Staff was super friendly and even gave us a tour of the other rooms that weren’t in use when we were finished. They do awesome work here and have some beautiful, elaborate sets. Lots of fun!
