Come join Harry & Bess as they transport you back to the 1920's. Famed illusionist Harry Houdini passed away on October 31, 1926. Prior to his death, he and his beloved wife, Bess, had discussed her trying to contact him in the afterlife. If she was successful, Harry was to reveal the phrase “Rosabel, Believe”, a reference to their favorite musical tune. On the anniversary of his death every year since his passing, Bess has performed a seance at The Knickerbocker hotel in hopes of contacting Houdini. Unfortunately, each year has been met with the same result – failure to contact Harry. It is now October 31, 1936. Ten years since the death of Harry Houdini. Bess has decided that this will be her final attempt before she will give up on trying to contact Houdini forever. You have come to her aid in an attempt to help her succeed before she puts out the lights on Harry’s shrine for good. Will you succeed in helping Bess to contact her beloved husband one last time or will Houdini rest in silence forever? You have 60 minutes to complete the seance and contact Harry Houdini.

The Haunted Hotel is haunted but not spooky. It’s a fun take on Harry Houdini that focuses on the mystic act of summoning him from the dead as opposed to his magic. Still, the hotel and seance puzzles were fun. This is billed as a hard room, but real escape artists should have no issue solving them all, possibly without hints. We did it with 2 with almost no hints (we used it on a silly thing), and we had plenty of time to spare. It’s very lock heavy as opposed to pure magic, which is the biggest disappointment. The set it a bit plain, but it works for this setting. The finale is fun, and it’s a great experience from beginning to end. Note that these are public bookings. We got lucky and got a private experience, as I prefer to do seances with my closest loved ones.

I thought the game and puzzles were fun. I think this is my favorite room at the company. The clue systems/ the game guides though! We waited at least 5 minutes for a clue and then we got something we already knew. This has my experience during all 5 of the rooms I've done here!!

Experience was great Jacob who worked the front desk was personable and informative. While the man behind the curtain Ryan was friendly and helpful when you needed it. They went out of their way to accommodate a disability of mine as much as they could and in general made us feel welcome. I had a great time.
