Casino Heist

Did this with my girlfriend and we found it to be pretty hard. One of our keys was given early due to a mistake/malfunction which messed up the order of clues. Game master came in with 5 mins to go and asked how we got a key early. We opted to just get the final clue given to us so we could see what we missed/what was next. We still had fun and had to get plenty of clues. Did not escape. We found this one pretty difficult.

This room is definitely not on my top escape rooms list, but I do feel like it’s not worth completely writing off. The puzzles were a little convoluted and often the correct answer or strategy to solve the puzzle at hand was not the first or even second idea we had. By the end, we caught onto the patterns and were able to escape however, the end of the room was a bit unsatisfying. Overall, would not go out of my way for this room, but if you have some free time, it is not the worst one out there.

Played this game a few years ago, room was a little worn down, needs an update. Gameplay was alright, but nothing too memorable

We did this escape room as our first date! Definitely recommended for that purpose. The room had a fair share of technical glitches, which really detract from the experience, but the ideas were quite novel. The props were reasonably impressive, though the decorations could have used some help.

We played with a group of 4 which was a good size for this room. Nice theme and puzzles

Egyptian Tomb: Trapped in an ancient Egyptian tomb our team of archaeologists to discover the mysteries of the tomb, locate a missing archaeologist, and find a way out. The Big Game: The opposing team was trying to sabotage us on the big game day. Locked in the coach's office, our group of football players had to find a way out before the championship game. Casino Heist: Our team of robbers had to break into the casino vault and get the goods before the police arrived to haul us away to jail. Pros: The experience at Escape Works is top notch from the moment you walk in. The waiting area is nice and clean and the game masters are professional and courteous. The set in each room is simple and decorated to fit the theme. Props are minimal but the few props fit with the overall storyline. The emphasis is less on searching and more on solving the puzzles themselves, which is what we enjoy the most. The puzzles were all logical and linear and worked best with small groups of 6 or less. Smaller group sizes were also best since the rooms themselves were very small. We successfully escaped all three rooms (in spite of ourselves at times). Everybody had a great time! Cons: These rooms definitely work best for smaller groups of people since moving around can be difficult with too many people. The puzzles ranged in complexity and there were a few moments when we were completely stumped and could have used hints a little earlier. The hint system worked but was a bit delayed at times. Some of the puzzles in the Big Game were less logical and therefore delayed our progress. We loved Casino Heist but our brains definitely hurt after trying to solve the mathematical based puzzles there.

Very cramped space with 5 - I'd recommend 4 or fewer.

Awful experience, unless you like having broken game pieces and being ignored by the Gamemasters then it’s great

You are not allowed to request hints, so if you get stuck are at the mercy of the GM, even if you are getting frustrated with a skill-like element. Nearly every puzzle was in the first, less interesting space. The second room felt like a waste, even though it looked cool. It was not for me

Puzzles didn’t connect in any way, multiple red herrings, one puzzle that “everyone needs a hint on that one”, because it’s a bad “puzzle”.
