La Abducción del Cabo Valdés [prev. Espías Chilensis]

La abducción del cabo Valdés by Fuga Escape Room was our first escape room in Santiago during our trip through Chile, where my partner and I played five rooms in total (two in La Serena and three in Santiago). At this location, we played the rooms in order of age, and this one, over 7 years old, has clearly seen several upgrades over time, even including a name change (formerly Espías Chilensis). From the very start, we were treated really well, with a solid intro that eased us into the experience and helped set the tone. Even without having played earlier versions, it was easy to notice how much polish and iteration has gone into this room over the years. The puzzle flow felt smooth and enjoyable, and while most puzzles were mechanical in nature, they were engaging and satisfying to work through. The story was interesting and well integrated, drawing inspiration from a real event in Chile in the 1970s, which added an extra layer of intrigue and local flavor to the experience. I went in with low expectations, but by the end I felt pleasantly surprised and genuinely satisfied with how the room came together. Highly recommended for all players, though having some experience will help, as the puzzles sit at a medium difficulty level. This is considered the easiest of the three rooms at this location, but it still offers a rewarding and well rounded experience.
