This escape business doesn't have much parking and it's located in a really shady area. We had to park a ways away and walk. Careful if your booking is for after dark. The price is more than most San Diego escapes. Its got a commercial cheap feel to it and is linear so 2 players are about it when it comes to playing. One of the puzzles didn't work and the game is pretty standard. Nothing spectacular to write about.

One of the best escape rooms in San Diego. Logical puzzles with lots of cool tech.

Very fun room! Such amazing set design and props for atmosphere and puzzles. The theming was amazing throughout and had some really fun challenges to overcome. There were two pretty finicky puzzles that didn’t work or were very particular about the way they needed to work, but overall we had a great experience that I’d recommend to anyone!

This room had some very unique mechanics and was overall very fun. I would definitely recommend it! While you can kind of tell that Lara's Labrynth doesn't have the highest budget (both rooms I've done here have had a broken puzzle), I still think the rooms are worth it, especially since these escape rooms comparatively cheap.

You get to break one of the cardinal rules of escape rooms which was pretty cool and unexpected.

Not scary, but there is a moment that might be a bit scary for claustrophobic people.
Yes
There was a puzzle that was broken, but the game master was aware of that and warned us ahead of time and walked us through an alternate way to open the puzzle once we had solved it.

The entire experience at Lara’s labyrinth was amazing. 10/10 would recommend to ANYONE.
Gameplay flowed amazing
Amazing room, the entire atmosphere was immersive
GM - JONAH, was amazing and welcoming. Showed us around for a sneak peak of the other rooms, even showed us his new room that’s in the making. One of if not the best escape room experiences I’ve ever had.

We LOVED this room! The ending was absolutely spectacular and breaking an escape room cardinal rule at the end left my jaw wide open. Probably one of my absolute favorite Egyptian themed rooms.

This was a great room. It’s got some small spaces and is fairly linear so I’d recommend 5 players max (2 -4 preferably). The set was fantastic, the puzzles were good, and there were several times during the game that I was genuinely surprised. There was one puzzle that wasn’t working and the GM had to walk us through a workaround, which detracted a bit. And the best part is when the room forces you to break one of the cardinal rules of escape games. The look on my wife’s face when my son broke the rule was hilarious. IYKYK.
I had a lot of fun in this room. It had a couple of unique elements to it.
Very impressive set.
Lexie was great.

Although there was a mix of puzzles, several areas of the room were high tech.

There are some tight spaces so I’m not sure how someone with mobility issues would do.
Limited
It was surprising how little parking is available, despite it being in an industrial looking area.

There were two parts that were so much fun and wow moments! One in particular was unreal - a moment we keep talking about even now. I wish one part was working right - to be fair they did say it was finicky. Overall loved it and really appreciated the decor - honestly felt like you were in an Egyptian tomb.

Relatively easy but interesting puzzles, theming was really great and there was use of a lot of technology. However, certain puzzle parts weren’t functioning which made it very frustrating when the puzzle was not automatically moving forward like it was supposed to.

This was by far the best and most unique escape room I have experienced. The puzzles flowed smoothly, the rooms were perfectly themed, the GM was super attentive and humorous before, during, and after our session, and the room itself was a blast! I've never had an escape room illicit so many different emotions from me while still enjoying every minute of it! My team of 3 semi experienced players were able to complete this room in 49 minutes with only 2 clues although the GM did give us a little nudge whenever we solved the puzzle but a piece was just an inch or two off in terms of position. We did have one of the puzzles get stuck but were warned beforehand it might happen. Despite this, the GMs were very attentive to ensure it didn't delay us amd even set up an alternate guided way to solve the puzzle in the event it did get stuck. Honestly everything was perfect, even with the puzzle malfunction, and I would recommend everyone who loves escape rooms try this particular experience. It is extremely unique, interactive, and has several moments that will surprise you.
The puzzles flowed extremely well and made sense when you took the time to think about them. You could solve this room without hints because everything is designed so well, although some parts take a bit of cleverness to see the solution.
I cannot say enough about the set and immersiveness of some of the rooms! Loved it all and will highly recommend this to friends to br able to gush about some of the triggered events that occur during the experience.
From start to finish the staff was welcoming, helpful, and simply awesome to work with. The GMs are good at what they do and use every tool at their disposal to ensure their guests have a great experience.

This is probably one of the only escape rooms where I can recall the entire story because it was kept simple yet integral throughout the experience.

This used everything including lights, sensors, magnets, mechanical linkage, and wireless signal receivers.

3 people was truly perfect for this room. I feel it could easily be done with 2, but the extra set of eyes help a lot. Any more than 3 could result in too many people waiting on some of the harder puzzles to get solved.

This room did take some clever thinking and attention to small details. While I feel a 10 year old could enjoy it, I wouldn't suggest it for any children who panic under pressure or who don't like to think a lot.
Yes
There was a puzzle that malfunctioned but the staff were very aware of it and made sure to warn us it might occur without spoiling the puzzle. They also watched us closely to ensure they could guide us through an alternate method to override and unlock the item without any delays.

There are several rooms and one room in particular will get your heart pumping. There is also some carrying of bulky items involved.
I wouldn't suggest this room for anyone with mobility issues as it does have one part where you have to duck and another where your space gets a bit restricted. Color blindness would also affect a player's ability to see certain puzzle clues and cues. While audio cues are used, I wouldn't think a hearing impairment would be a huge detriment other than the fact that clues, hints, and time left is relayed only verbally and is not physically displayed anywhere. This could be easily solved if someone on the team ensures they relay any audio messages to those who are hearing impaired.

Parking is right across the street and free. Keep in mind that there is not a ton of it but the amount available is very reasonable for the area.
