One of the things I think a great escape room does is build up - start simple, and get larger and more impressive, finally culminating in an epic climax. Captain Spoopy Bones did this (stepping into the final room made me gasp), although we accidentally killed momentum at the very end by losing track of a key item.

Loved the progression, great theming and some new puzzles that I hadn't encountered before. Game begins with group split so know that if that's a concern. End was awesome and story flowed. Very fun great site a must hit if your in the area.

Captain Spoopy Bones did something that few pirate escape rooms can do: break the mold. Rooms with a repetitive theme like pirates or spies will always have some form of recycled assets and ideas. However, Spoopy Bones' combination of a split team start, a satirical approach to the whole room itself, and pretty impressive technical devices made this pirate room in particular stick out for us at the EscapeJunkies. While we would recommend this room to anyone in the area, remember that you need to be excellent communicators to escape (especially in the beginning when your group is split into two different cells). Set sail to Captain Spoopy Bones and the Magnificent Quest For Some Other Pirate's Treasure, Captain. It's quite the treasure. The pirate theme is one of the most common escape room themes, along with haunted mansions, circuses, special agents, etc., so making it fun is not an easy task. This escape room has quite a large space, accommodating up to 14 people. In the beginning, the group is split into two teams, reuniting halfway through the game, making it perfect for team-building activities. It's more lively and fun with a larger group. You can work on different puzzles at the same time because this escape room is full of locks—countless combination locks. While some puzzles are interesting, too many locks make it feel a bit repetitive, and it becomes tiring towards the end. The last room is high-tech and pretty cool. The puzzles are not difficult, mainly testing the team's communication and collaboration abilities.

Another amazing escape room at Doldrick’s! This one was one of the best pirate rooms I’ve ever done! Without spoiling too much, the final room LOOKS like a lot was spent on set design and I appreciate that so much. The puzzles were fun and I loved being separated at the beginning!

This is their premier room and didn’t disappoint even with the hype. Like their other rooms, very thematic and logical. My group of two veteran escape roomers needed just a little extra time to get out, so go with at least four people unless you’re experts. Also, Madison was a very friendly GM who gave us just the nudge we needed when we asked for help.

This is their stand-out room and it was not a disappointment. I'll agree with others that the pirate theme is well-worn, but this one was very nicely done. I duo almost every escape room with my husband, and it's rare that I wish for more people in the room - but here, I'd like 4. We did escape but it would have been easier with more people for sure. Having only 2 when you not only start out separate, but play a decently large chunk of the game in different rooms, was certainly unique!

I loved this game, had a great experience. The puzzles are not over the top great but everything flowed so well that you didn’t notice some of them were extremely easy. Main character is very likeable and the sets were done well. I highly recommend this game.
