Honestly, it felt more like they were just physically abusing us, haha. I guess some people might find that scary but it was more annoying to me than fun or scary. Also, the puzzles weren’t really there. I’d say it’s more akin to a Haunt than an Escape Room.
The puzzles were pretty simplistic and they gave heavy hints. We never get the “aha” moment.

Crazy atmosphere. Puts you right into the heart of your own horror movie and you won’t see the slasher until it’s too late… staff is extremely immersive and the chance to get your own audio+video highlight clips is awesome. Definitely recommend🙌🏻

I did the Zoe reborn escape room a couple weeks ago on their purgatory mode and they were doing this really cool thing where they had a live actor playing a team alpha survivor being your hint system within the game it made the whole thing way more immersive and it heightened the feeling of danger whilst you were inside

We played Purgatory mode, their most extreme mode only offered I believe around Halloween. Zoe Reborn is definitely more of an extreme haunt rather than an escape room. I got physically thrown around, tased, dragged and force fed bugs. The puzzles were sparse and simple. Overall a different experience, and not for everyone. One point I disagree with here was that one of our group members is vegetarian, and was forced to tap out when our actor tried to feed her bugs. (Not due to fear.) Forcing a vegetarian to eat meat, otherwise you fail the escape room isn’t really cool in my eyes, luckily the staff were understanding and let her back in. Jorin the owner was cool and talked to us before our room, and our actors Winston and Destiny were fantastically scary!
More of a scare haunt experience, less on the puzzles
Dark and scary! Props and environment were a bit lacking
Jorin is the man! Hung out with us before the room just to chat

If you can handle scares, otherwise we did see a group before us tap out

Zoe Reborn is an experience all right. As one of the first official “scary” escape rooms I’ve ever done, this will be one to remember. My group did “Purgatory Mode” and there is a second waiver that they will ask you to fill out which lets them tase you, put repulsive things in your mouth, and other physical acts. The actors want to give you a good scare without actually harming you though. So just know that coming in. You get as much as you put in. For the puzzles themselves, it felt to me that the flow or story didn’t make sense and there was a little too much guidance from one of the actors, which can take us out of the immersion a little bit. There were some moments when I could hear him talk on his earpiece and maybe I was just too observant but I wonder if less guidance could make the immersion better. The music could be distracting at times too. I’ve done a thriller escape room before and they were able to incorporate the music in such a way that you knew when to be scared, which actually increased the scare factor. The music and the lore did not do it for me. We did find out though that they have 30 minute increments for booking and so, they were probably just trying to get the next group to come in at their scheduled time. Maybe there was too much guidance because they had a lot of groups coming in. It was a busy lobby! Now for the service, the owner and the staff were great. We needed a few accommodations and they were able to make those happen. Thank you so much! Overall, I will remember this escape room but I won’t necessarily say that this was my favorite because the storyline and the puzzles were convoluted. They did bring the scare on though! If I expected more of a haunted house, this would have definitely been higher up in my rankings.

Game was super fun! Actors did their job great at keeping the anxiety ramped up. The lead investigator helped a lot when we got stuck a few times. Helped the game flow smooth as butter

For Zoe: Reborn. They had overbooked and were behind on schedule. To try to make up for this, they had an employee inside with us the entire time (start to end), giving us the answers to every puzzle. We only solved about two puzzles the entire escape room. The employee would shout out codes to locks, directions to the next room, when to run, and generally rush us through the escape room. We had to skip puzzles and I think even a room, because of their mismanagement. He would repeatedly break character (he was supposed to be from the previous group, some Alpha team member that got left behind?) to openly speak on an earpiece to his team to just let us through or turn on the lights, killing any immersion. There were more actors than the original Zoe, but there was no storyline at all. We were supposed to have 100 minutes to complete the escape room, but they rushed us out in 45 minutes to an hour. From our experience, this is not an escape room, and it's not even a haunted house or a horror maze, because at least in those experiences, the actors try to stay in character. They even sent the footage (an extra $140) to the wrong email. There were some good jump scares, though.

Loved the entire room it was so immersive including the actors, from the moment you step inside the staff immerse you into the experience, and I loved the lead investigator role such a creative hint system
Gameplay was so immersive, the acting was top notch, and the lead investigator role for the hint system was so so fun

What an amazing room to play! The actors were absolutely amazing! While the puzzles weren’t hard, the psychological aspect of the horror made them difficult. It was like adult version of hide and seek. Highly recommended! This room is also not for the feint of heart.
