Holy sh*t, this room. Now #7 on our Top Ten list.
Basically a house built inside another building. The cues were perfect - sound and a light to guide the way, telling you what happened. The intro video was the scariest part (and our GM said he's had people quit after watching). Personal favorite moment of GM turning up individual lights for me when I couldnβt see / read, even one he'd never turned up before. AND THE REVEAL!! π€―π€―π€― Totally immersive - didn't feel like an escape room. Solid story of trying to find Jason or evidence of his presence. Clever puzzles that were sometimes hard but never too hard. Great effects. Marc is the absolute best - we talked to him for ages swapping room stories.
Escape Couple rating:
6 ποΈ: Best of the best
(we use a 1-6ποΈ rating scale)
No notes. Totally integrated and immersive. Some really creative puzzles and you always knew what you had opened (always a sound cue often accompanied by a light cue).
This is a freaking house built INSIDE another building.
Marc is one of our all time favorite game masters. We talked to him for ages swapping escape stories.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
Itβs a solid, simple, effective story. And other rooms carry the narrative (Execution)
While some puzzles were thinkers it was all very logical.
The ceiling lifted to reveal another room!
2 was great. 3-4 would also be solid. Donβt go over that.
The intro video is scarier than the room. π Two small jumps scares.
A brave teen could easily handle this.
Our game master was in character getting us into the room.
Iβve never come out of a room sweating. We were up and down stairs like crazy running all over this house.
Accessibility
Stairs are a huge part of the game.
