Temporarily Closed - Ghost Town Streets is the original - and still most terrifying scare zone - that started it all. Bands of half-human, half-animal monsters prowl the streets and inhabit the fog. Beware the notoriously startling Sliders who lunge from every fog-filled corner of the land.

This is by far the best of all the scare zones this year. With the lighting and fog creating the creepy atmosphere you are hesitant to walk through, the scare actors make it full of jump scares when they surprise you.

While conveniently located, the $35 price tag leaves you feeling angry, ripped off, and taken advantage of. Definitely carpool if you can.

Prepare to be spooked. The Knott’s actors are waiting around every turn and know how to pop out at just the right moment to make you jump. The set design is highly detailed and designed for terror at Knott’s Scary Farm. A few cons: the mazes are all very loud with sound effects and music that do little to add to the ambience of fear but do make you want to get out quicker. There is high amount of gore in most of the mazes. We generally prefer haunts that rely on spine-chilling creepiness rather than ritual slaughter. But to each their own. Ghost Town streets was our favorite scare zone. Fully immersive with ghosts meandering out of the past to instill terror. The scare zones are scarier than the mazes and this was no exception.

So many decayed brigade slide actors! This was so cool to be around so many of them!

The Ghost Town Streets remain a key mainstay amongst the scare zones. It is a reliable area that sets the tone for the entire night. Braving through one of the densest fog areas is a rite of passage, a tradition one must experience every year. The sliders are excellent and experienced, sometimes stopping mere inches from you for maximum effect. The old West buildings lend to the atmosphere, and the cemetery is always a treat to visit. Scare actors are dedicated in this zone and work hard to bring on the terror. Make sure to go through this scare zone at least once on every visit to Scary Farm and pay homage to the king of scare zones.

Always the heart of scary farm. I love the thick forg, sounds and all the monsters creeping through it. I could sit there for hours watching them scare people. Classic and a must do always. Perfect atmosphere.

This is what started it all! All the iconic monsters are here. To celebrate the 50th, veteran monsters returned to join in on the Haunt. The energy with all of them together was wild! Especially for the opening scaremony. The Bride is my favorite! Don’t hestitate to interact with some of the monsters in Ghost Town. This area is definitely elevated later on in the night when the fog is thick and the crowds are spread out. If you have some time, find a place to sit and just watch them on the hunt!
