You and your crew have been framed for stealing the blue “Star of Infinity” diamond, a rare blue diamond recently unearthed in South Africa. Experts believe it’s the most valuable diamond ever. It was stolen by a masked gunmen hired by organized crime leader Quentin Ortiz and is being housed in his secure vault that is protected by multiple security mechanisms, including high intensity lasers. It’s up to your crew to secure the diamond before Ortiz’s is alerted and clear your names.

A charming and actually surprisingly clever little experience with a few novel and original puzzles, despite the fact that some usable elements might be showing their age. It’s got a few unique elements we haven’t seen before and the room had more than initially met the eye. One of the things that surprised us most was the room seems to have received a new coat of paint, complete with updated atmosphere, properly themed walls/set design and some updated elements. If you’ve seen photos of this being a bland, barebones and uninspired looking all-white room, it no longer looks like that. The current design really elevates the production value substantially, but I’d also say it’s not super high budget. It’s fitting and leagues better than the old promo images. The gameplay manages to feel closer than Gen 1 escape rooms, but on the “higher end” of that era, blending some outside the box thinking and design that would become hallmarks of Gen 2. We were genuinely impressed how fun, funny and well thought out some of the puzzles were, with several fun little surprises. All in all, it’s a rather simple room with some really cool stuff going on in it. Fun, engaging and good for beginners and intermediate players and groups.

A fun take on an overused theme. Even though this was only one room, I wasn’t wishing there was another. It was appropriate for the theme. Lasers were super cool! Easy game for experienced players. The new automatic clue system was a little annoying because it took time to put in answers we didn’t need help with and makes it feel impersonal.

Gimmicky and good for first timers. Good for groups of 4 or 5 because 6 was too many. The room is physically small for large groups.
