Really clean, enoyable puzzle design and a nice story with theatrical flair - we haven’t played the original version, but this revamped version was very enjoyable and made us want to play all their games. We’d booked Opus Memori for the wrong day and got to play The Barber’s choice as a makeup game instead (for which we were very grateful!), so came in completely cold. We were entertained and had a great time - might be a bit short for larger groups of experienced players, but perfect for two or as a nice puzzle snack for when you want a break from crawling or running up and down stairs.

Gameplay

Clean and logical puzzle design, well clued

Atmosphere

From the first moments of walking in to the GM staying completely in character throughout the visit, a wonderfully immersive experience that made us want to come back and experience everything the mansion has to offer

Customer service

Above and beyond customer service! We’d accidentally booked a game for the wrong date and they called us & worked with us to find a game that fit our packed schedule (instead of just taking our money.)

I got a little lost in the story, and one puzzle in particular we really struggled with. The actor interaction is fun and well done. Most of the puzzles were enjoyable and satisfying, but the second act was tough. It was too difficult to hear what was happening, and I got totally lost in the story. I really did not know what was happening after we left. It did not click for me, although the first half was a lot of fun!

This was not quite a showstopper like Opus Memori but still top notch for a standard escape room. Nice themed puzzles, fun actor interactions som great silly moments.

A more standard escape room that is well incorporated into the lore of the manor. Cool puzzles that are themed to the room and experience. Some clever tricks. A fun time for a small group as the space isn't as big as their other rooms.

The Barber shop definitely felt like a pretty standard escape room. We enjoyed some of the mechanics greatly, but other parts stood out as in need of an update. Overall this room was a lot of fun, and I would recommend it if you are making a day trip to do all 3 rooms at the manor. This is what I would recommend as the first game to do.

Gameplay

Game play was smooth if underwhelming.

Atmosphere

The atmosphere was impressive, some aspects of that were very well done, others were still pretty decent but didn't stand out as much.

Customer service

GM was almost too into it! The immersion of The Manor was its strongest point throughout.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

Everything was part of it, everything was relevant. There were connections between the games that were accented by other people doing the other games at the same time. That's all I say on that (no spoilers) but never write anything off As insignificant.
