As a detective in Valley Falls, it is nice to take a break once in a while. After receiving an anonymous envelope with a VIP ticket to the premiere of a new horror movie called Between the Static, you decide to take advantage of the gift and not question its origins. Once you arrive at the theater on premiere night and discover that a theater employee named Kacey Lancaster has been murdered, you realize that the reason you received the ticket wasn't simply a turn of good fortune. As it turns out after a short cursory investigation, Kacey was the one who sent you the VIP ticket, which means she wanted you at this premiere for some reason. That also means you're going to get dragged into this case whether you want to be or not. Why did Kacey Lancaster send you a ticket to the premier of this strange movie? Why was she murdered?
