Doomensions: Mystery Manor

My first time playing one of these tabletop escape games! The highlights of this set were the pop up manor installment and the paper dial contraption they designed to help you confirm correct answers to each puzzle as you go along. The theming was well done. I kind of wish they gave you more replacements for their disposable elements to increase the longevity of the set (there’s only 2 copies of each item which allows for up to 2 play throughs), and sometimes it was hard to find relevant pieces needed to solve certain puzzles because our copy was a hand-me-down. But it’s quite well put together when all is said and done and I would be interested in trying other games from this company. Of note, the box recommended 10-12 hours for a full play through. But it takes much less time than that if your group is relatively used to solving puzzles and if members are willing to solve in parallel.
