Visit for first time the secrets that 4000 years of history had hide. After years of excavation, Dr. Lehner and his team found what they were looking for: a royal Egyptian tomb that had been forgotten under the desert sands. Once the conservation work is finished, a few will finally be able to visit the antechamber of the tomb, since the rest are totally buried, hiding their secrets under the rubble. Do you want to come and discover them?

This was sadly my worst experience of our 40 room trip to Spain. The start was great, with Gerard doing a fantastic acting intro. From there, it sadly went downhill. First, I have to admit that I have understood that Egypt tombs aren’t my favorite setting, and it was made very clear here. The set is so worn out that pieces that probably used to look good, now just looked like a piece of styrofoam. It badly needs a new coat of paint. Four players, two light sources, and other than that, total darkness, doesn’t make it any better either. The puzzles also feels clunky. All in all, this was sadly not a good escape room. To think that Katrina lays just on the other sides of these walls is crazy. If they close this down and maintain it to how it looked and played when they opened, I think it would be a lot better, but probably still not one of my favorites.

This was our first room in Spain and we were blown away by its size, the enthusiastic in-character GM, and its physical interaction. In hindsight, these elements are pretty much table-stakes for rooms in Spain, and I'm not sure if anything puzzle-wise or set-wise causes this to stand out from a very crowded field of ancient-egypt-themed rooms.

  • ...I personally think that this was one of the most realistic tomb themed rooms that I’ve played.
