Katrina

We didn't plan to do this room originally but it got recommended to us so many times that we decided to book it. I can confidently say that this was the best decision we made on our Spain trip. There are not enough words to describe how good this game is. The story is great and the room is so well decorated. It's fantastic. If you have the chance, please go do it.

The other GMs from Londium and Magic Universe recommended this room so we thought this room has to be good and it definitely met the expectation. Another elaborately detailed, immersive, stylish room with nice little tricks and effects to make you go wow. It seems with the higher quality rooms they start the room as soon as you step foot but this one took it a step further and started us before we even walked in. Then the intro when you finally get in the room was definitely memorable. Our GM and actress was awesome, fun and also sang very beautifully! She really matched our energy and we all had a good time going along with the act. Definitely can see this making the TERPECA list at some point so definitely check this room out if you’re in the area.

10/10 absolute masterpiece!!! must-play in Barcelona :) 🇲🇽🌴🏜️🪅

Katrina delivers an epic, Indiana-Jones-style adventure that transports you straight into a quest for hidden Aztec treasure. The massive, highly detailed sets and cinematic special effects make every discovery feel truly rewarding. With dynamic physical elements, engaging character interactions, and seamless puzzle flow, it is a masterclass in immersive action and exploration.

Prepare to have you mind blown! Katrina , I think, is the best escape room I've ever done. Its actually difficult to find words to express how immersive, fun, sad, scary and incredible it is. I've seen other reviews that mention it's like being in a movie, and it really is. I've never felt so immersed in a story than here. Every single element, from the welcome when you arrive, to the thrilling and slightly scary climax, in brilliantly and expertly planned and considered. The gamesmaster (Marella?) was incredible in her roles, funny, scary and tender at times. There are SO many quirky touches that I've not seen before, including one with shots of real tequila! I'm so glad to have found this escape room so early on in its existence, because I guarantee it will soon be regarded as one of the best in the world.

Katrina completely blew me away. The acting was phenomenal, the atmosphere was breathtaking, and for two hours I genuinely felt like I was part of a movie. One scene almost brought me to tears, while others had me laughing with the biggest smile on my face. A couple of delayed puzzle triggers caused some brief confusion, but they were only minor issues in an otherwise unforgettable experience. If you love immersive storytelling and incredible performances, don’t miss this one.

Consensus #2 of our 17-room Europe trip and definitely a top TERPECA contender. The best actor performances we've seen, and the final set genuinely made us go wow. Hints were well-judged - only given when we truly needed them. Heads-up: come prepared to drink real alcohol lol.

For set design, detail, story and quality of puzzles, this is right up there with the best in Barcelona. The acting was also superb which added to the enjoyment! One minor negative was a sense that we were being hurried along to make up time as our booking was pushed back by 10 mins through no fault of our own. Would still highly recommend this to anyone though! Outstanding room

Outstanding room with an incredible set design, story and special effects. Including a wide range of puzzles which were fun and added to the immersion. Absolutely loved the facade, entry and opening moments. This room gave moment after moment, with twists and unexpected turns! I’m sure this will be nominated for TERPECA and do well later in the year! A must do room in the Barcelona area (with some tough competition around)!

Katrina was an amazing game that was tarnished by (I think) the most technical issues I've ever seen in a game. Despite that, it still was one of my favorite games of our Spain trip at #3 of 37. Fantastic set, good puzzles and interactions, several wow moments, great actor performance. After the game, my group compared notes and came up with about 20 technical issues we encountered, include several maglocks failing, buttons not working, puzzle triggers being overly fiddly and firing very late, and several moments that should have been exciting being reduced to confusion because things weren't triggering. None of this was a showstopper, but it did detract from the experience. From talking to other groups who played around the same time, it was only our group who had problems, so hopefully you'll be luckier.
