Malediction

Really enjoyed this, though the constant requirement to interact with a live GM actor to proceed may not be everyone’s cup of tea. There are unique tasks that only work if there is some interaction with a questgiver. As fans of RPGs, we enjoyed this. It also led to some funny moments with the live actor cussing up a storm, roasting us, and taking on the role of assorted foul-mouthed animals. There aren’t a lot of puzzles, and they aren’t super deep. It’s not super big either. We had audio issues for the intro that delayed our room by 10 minutes, but the GM just read the intro for us. We had much worse technical BS throughout the day so we’ll take simple audio issues. Also, be warned that the Spell Breakers room is the same exact room but kid-friendly. In the end, the whole live presentation was what made this malediction purrfectly charming!

Malediction was an amazing escape room experience that stood out for its immersion and atmosphere. This room is unique because you interact with in-game characters to solve puzzles, which adds a whole new layer of fun and engagement. The game is beautifully crafted, blending magical and darker elements with humorous moments. Even something as simple as opening a chest felt magical, thanks to the impressive attention to detail. It’s well-rounded and perfect for both newcomers and seasoned escape room enthusiasts. Overall, I’m giving it a solid 9.5 out of 10, and I can’t wait to come back for more!

This was fun and funny experience for adults! Our GM put in a lot of effort to give "life" to the room and handle our gameplay responses on the fly. The room isn't difficult where the "animals" in the room are both integral to the story and crucial to making it out successfully. Prepare for some spontaneity and laughs!

I hate to give this a thumbs down, but the rooms we have done here aren’t the kind of escape rooms we like, and aren’t typical escape rooms. There’s lots of acting, which we don’t care for, and a couple of other things I won’t mention because I don’t want to spoil it for anyone else. Their GM and employees are really nice, and the facility is really clean. I will give it that. But if you’re looking for a traditional escape room, this isn’t it. There was a lot of standing around and a lot of acting.

Super unique room, very interactive. You literally have to interact with characters around the room in order to get clues/progress so be sure to suspend that hatred of asking for clues haha

We’re not really a team who asks for clues, but it was encouraged to talk to things and ask for clues to get the best experience. However it was a very unique room and a very fun time. Would still recommend!
