Permanently Closed - The Ghent Altarpiece is one of the most important pieces in Belgian art history. However, the splendor of the masterpiece was overshadowed by one of the largest art thefts in Belgium. Two years after completion, two shutters were stolen. More than 75 years later, one panel is still missing. A. Goedertier confessed to the theft on his deathbed, but he took the location of The Just Judges with him to his grave.
