Clean, crisp puzzles. One hint needed was our own fault. Good challenge for the right reasons. Theming is decent, and overall experience is excellent.

A hunter's cabin deep in the Montana wilderness has been taken over by terrorists in an attempt to take out the city that lies at the base of the mountain. Do you and your team have what it takes to break into the cabin and diffuse a series of jerry-rigged bombs before time runs out?

My least favorite escape room I’ve done. Tries to feel trickier than it is. The cut scenes play while your time is ticking down, which was annoying. Not my cup of tea. Better rooms a short drive away. Wouldn’t recommend. Sorry.

I would not reccomend this room to anyone. Genuinely one of the worst rooms I've been to. The biggest issue is the lack of care and variety to this room. To get a hint you must scroll through a slide show on an IPad. By doing so you see the answers to other puzzles and you look for your hint. There is no in game communication with your GM. This ruined several puzzles. The room is non linear but the ipad turns it very linear. The puzzles themselves are all the same. In the entire room you have 2 differnt types of puzzles that are repeated over and over. The whole rook lacks puzzle variety. Then at the end of the room when you get the final key to escape it leads you to an office- their literal work office that is not in theme. It makes the victory feel so useless. Top tier used to be a great company but under their new owners they have taken away everything fun, unique, and immersive away. Saddens me to say I no longer reccomend this company.

There is no connection nor hints to the puzzles. People will struggle to find what to do next. The puzzles themselves are all the same just with different colors or images. In a 60 min room you get 2 differnt types of puzzles. The repeating puzzles take away from the experience.
This room has no immersion. When reading the story the GM had no emotion nor care. When you get the final key to escape it leads you to an office. Not a themed office- their literal work office. The theme is disconnected from the title.
The introduction to the room was read with no emotion in the lobby. We could barely hear due to kids yelling in thr lobby. No effort was put into immersion.

Theme has nothing to do with Avalanches. It is a bomb diffusing theme that has nothing to do with the title.
Hard
The puzzles themselves were straight forward. Going from one puzzle to the next was difficult since there was nothing pointing you to the next one.

You must walk across the room and bend down.
The first room is very small and may not fit a wheel chair. Please ask them for the dimensions. If you are color blind (blue, green, red, orange, yellow) you will be unable to do a large puzzle. You must have enough mobility to pick up stuff off the floor.

Tbh this is probably my least favorite game at Top Tier. The room feels unfinished (especially the exit), its puzzles were incoherent, and it’s a barely double room experience. Compare to the Outside In, Pirates of Mediterranean, or even Yakuza Escape the Serpent (the room it replaced), it feels haphazardly put together.

This room is Top Tier’s hardest. The first room wasn’t too difficult but the second room was puzzle heavy. Definitely meant for seasoned escapees. If you’re playing all their rooms in one day, maybe don’t make this your last one. Our brains were a little frazzled since we had played (1) Outside In, (2) Pirates of the Mediterranean, and (3) Atlantis) before. Enjoyed Top Tier so much I made an extra post about all four of our escapes at this establishment: https://www.instagram.com/p/DFWD0RKyEQI/?igsh=Y2RncXp2dnE0NWQ0

"A biologist, a physicist, and a computer scientist walk into an escape room..." - it sounds like the beginning of a joke, right? But, yes, this was a great room for our STEM squad! This was my 50th room - Yay! - (45W - 5L) which I completed with a group of five players with similar statistics and ranging in age from 22 to 59. We got off to a slow start, then everything seemed to click all at once. We escaped with 10:37 remaining and we requested only one hint. But that does not mean that it is an easy room, it was definitely hard. We needed all of our brains contributing ideas and looking at the puzzles from different perspectives. The room was decorated well and all of the props / puzzles were in top working condition. The room was non-linear so no one in our squad was left standing around with nothing to do. The room was also well lit, which we really appreciated.

Loved this room! Non-linear. Lots of logical reasoning puzzles, and many that require two steps. Don’t be afraid to ask for clues.

Room is good. Theming overall leaves a little to be desired but there are a few theming elements that are pretty cool and well done. There are a few puzzles that are kinda unique and fun, but one or two puzzles that require making a connection between things that aren't intuitive or clear to make. Overall, this is a good room with great potential and definitely fun to play.
Staff here is always great. Met the engineer who built the game and he was super friendly and great to talk to.

A few elements that require full color vision. A couple of things that are too high for a person in a wheelchair to reach, but space is open and flat and could accommodate a wheelchair in all parts of the room.

A solid start and clean middle game. Some tricky puzzles in here, definitely bring your A game. I found the puzzles satisfying to solve but the decor a bit lacking. Since we played only a few weeks after they opened, I’m sure they’re hard at work fine tuning.
