The Inquest [Immersive Theatre]

Over a decade ago, Scott Davies drowned in the heart of Cambridge. After reviewing the evidence available at the time, the inquest returned an open verdict. Under amendments to the Justice Act 2021, coroner's juries have become a popular means to clear the backlog of unsolved deaths. Together with thirteen others and a team from the Coroner's Office, your duty is to determine the events that led up to Davies’ death. The Inquest players are invited to join other players at a central London office location to consider a case Live actors greet them and will assist, but not guide, their deliberations. Players are presented with physical evidence, sworn statements, and a computer database relating to an unsolved death from more than a decade ago. Players work with the characters and unravel the truth, finding a labyrinth of clues and lies to unpick, including hacking into telephone systems. When the time is up, players are asked to vote on a conclusion: what happened to Scott Davies?
