SDCC ConQuest™: Interactive Puzzle Game at SD Comic-Con

This was my first outdoor experience like this. So I don't have much to compare to besides typical escape rooms. But I personally had mixed feelings about it. As an idea it was great, the intent behind what they were doing was fun and could work on a large scale, but there were a handful of logical issues that left alot to be desired. Some preventable, others unavoidable bad timings. But after talking with some of the morty staff, is sounded like this was a trial run of something more they wanted to do in the future. A beta test if you will. So I hope they can correct the issues of this first one, I'm really excited to see what next year will be

I believe this was the first iteration of this kind of activity from this app, so if wouldn't be out of the ordinary should issues arise. There were some hiccups- for example, once location had you looking for a blinking light but once you got to the location there was no blinking light. Another one was when going to the location for the prize, it actually led to a different location. After talking with the developer of the app, I appreciated the effort that went into it, and being open to the feedback towards making this better for the future.

A lot of back and forth, which was made more cumbersome by the huge crowds in the surrounding areas. Tried to do this on Thursday, but the 1st clue was broken. Finally got to the end to be told that they don't have any more prizes. Hope they work out the kinks if they try this again. 5/10.

Fun scavenger hunt but not rewarding at the end so far... Were told to wait 30 min for prices. When we came back somebody told us to come back in 60. ...

This was an awesome experience for those of us that didn't have badges for comic con and was a great way to be involved.

The thing at Clue #5 was broken and once we had completed this interactive puzzle game the first day, they had said that they didn’t have prizes and to come back the next day at 10:30. However, we went to the location ,the next day at that time, only to have someone tell us that they did not have any prizes. It seemed very unorganized and you can only receive a prize if you give them your address (or so they claimed).

So many cool locations and finds for this experience! you definitely missed out if you don’t play this at the convention!
