Deep in the mountains stands the Karnar Orphanage. In recent years, there have been multiple cases of orphans collectively disappearing from the orphanage. Police investigations were unable to uncover what happened. Since then, numerous terrifying rumours about the orphanage have spread among the villagers. You are a group of orphans who lost your parents in the war, and today you have been sent to the orphanage. By the time you arrive, it is already past midnight. A sense of dread is in the air, you can't help but wonder: can you survive tonight?

When I first walked in the room, I felt like Nun had all the makings of a really solid horror experience with its creepy orphanage setting and unsettling storyline but unfortunately it didn’t really deliver when it came to gameplay. Set dressing I would say was the main positive, the designers really worked hard to capture that eerie early 1900s feel with the bunk beds also being a nice interactive touch. Where the Nun really fell down was the choice of puzzles and inconsistent tech. We unfortunately had two incidents of GM intervention to get certain puzzles to work which isn’t always a big deal but with a brand new room, it felt like those kind of kinks should’ve been ironed out early. A difficult room by all accounts, the puzzles really made you focus on the smaller details. Whilst this is usually a staple in more complex escape rooms, these puzzles in particular didn’t necessarily feel satisfying to solve. Overall good for a couple easy scares but doesn’t live up to their Annabelle room.

The tech in two separate puzzles didn’t work as initially intended. Required GM intervention on both.

A really good scary escape room. It has a scare I haven’t seen done before, I was holding my team members arms most of the time but I loved the thrill of it. Overall vibe was great and staff were super helpful
The puzzles were great! It was a good challenge and flowed quite well. Some great scares was definitely one of the more scarier rooms I have done
Very spooky, particularly the start of the escape room it set the vibe very well for the room
The staff were very friendly super good with giving hints and helpful along the way

A spiritual successor to the Anabelle room at their other venue, this room felt quite rushed and was probably my least favourite of the four. Starting off in the bunk beds of the orphanage was a cool opening which was unfortunately probably the highlight of the room. The room was a bit of a mess during our playthrough with tech that didn't work, hot glue, keys that didn't lead anywhere, and so many empty crates to search through. Some puzzles that I enjoyed and some decent scares meant that the room wasn't a complete bust but it really did feel like it came fresh with all the shortcomings the Annabelle room had. Not one I'd be quick to recommend.
