The concept and exterior were better than most of the execution on my opinion. I thought they could have done a lot more with small realistic spiders or projections, rather than really fake looking super spiders. I liked a few of the elements -- actors bent at odd angles blended nicely with people cocooned in the walls -- a pulsing egg -- a spidora like figure -- but overall it felt really hokey to me instead of either campy or scary.

I thought this was a great idea for a haunted maze, preying on many people’s fear of spiders. The combination with a nursing home infestation made it an even more unique idea, although I wish I’d understood that element of the story a little more. As a person who is scared of spiders in real life, I think they could go even further with this to take advantage of that natural fear. I hope that they go even further next year.

Sort of. All the other ones at Knott’s are categorized as “Haunted House.” Either would be fine, but they should all be the same.
Yes
I thought this was a more unique theme for a maze, but one that is ripe for creeping a lot of people who are freaked out by spiders out. I do think they could go even further with this, and I hope they do next year.

I wouldn’t recommend this if you have true arachnophobia.
Good
At $35, this is a complete ripoff. Definitely carpool if you can.

Prepare to be spooked. The Knott’s actors are waiting around every turn and know how to pop out at just the right moment to make you jump. The set design is highly detailed and designed for terror at Knott’s Scary Farm. A few cons: the mazes are all very loud with sound effects and music that do little to add to the ambience of fear but do make you want to get out quicker. There is high amount of gore in most of the mazes. We generally prefer haunts that rely on spine-chilling creepiness rather than ritual slaughter. But to each their own. Widows was spooky through and through and not recommended for anyone with fear of spiders. Loved the ending.

I love the story line, the build Is very detailed, dark, creepy and lots of spiders, a great mixture. Lots of scare actors at every turn. It takes a good amount of time to get through. Really original on the idea for the story line. I have a knotts scary farm pass and I go to this everytime. Absolutely love this one.

Beware if you are scared of spiders or grandmas! This is probably the most elaborate house this year. The outdoor facade is absolutely stunning! Not the scariest to me, but worth it for the production value alone.

This is my favorite maze this year! Knotts outdid themselves with this production quality. The interactions we had with a lot of the actors was great. The only thing I didn’t like was it got really humid in a few parts of the maze.

If you don’t like spiders it’ll probably be a lot scarier
