The town of Crystal Cove and surrounding areas are being terrorized by monsters and ghosts, and now the local Baroness Maria Richman has gone missing and it is suspected that the ghost sightings have something to do with it! Tasked with solving the crime, you arrive at the same conclusion as Mystery Incorporated. But when you get to the Spooky Castle, Mystery Inc. gets locked out, at the same time you get locked in! You soon realize that theyβre able to help by communicating clues via magic portraits inside the Castle. After discovering a secret dungeon and monster lab in the castle, you come to the conclusion that the person responsible almost certainly works in the castle - but who could it be as there are several suspects?

A fun, beginner-friendly experience that pays homage to the classic Scooby-Doo TV show. The puzzles were pretty straight-forward and none of them were overtly challenging. If you are new to escape rooms and/or have a soft spot for Scooby-Doo, then you'll likely enjoy this room!
There was a good variety of puzzles that took up the full space of the room. There were a lot of Scooby-Doo puzzles that were based on tropes from the TV shows/movies that added to the immersion + were a fun nod. The use of screens were a *little* much at times, but they make the room beginner-friendly. One nitpicky thing is that there were plaques around the escape room that had step-by-step instructions on how to solve the puzzles, which I think wasn't always necessary. The room seemed more beginner-friendly, so it's understandable why they were posted. My suggestion would be to put covers over the instructions so players can have the option to try to solve the puzzles first without the guidance.
The set design made it truly feel like we were in the classic Scooby Doo universe.
Our GM (Martina) was lovely. She asked us ahead of time about our experience and tailored the game to not give us clues unless we asked for them.

We are 2 experienced escape room players and we got out with about 20 mins to spare.
