I was very fortunate to be invited to beta test this room! “Quest for the Temple of Light” is a very unique game and truly lives up to the description of being an “adventure” style escape room. The gameplay was very hands on and even the transitions from one room to the next were thoroughly thought out. The set was so immersive that I kept forgetting that I was inside of a building, I really felt like I was traveling through time. It is obvious that there was great attention to detail in every aspect of this room! Given that this is just the first room at Keepers of Balance, I am very excited to see what they will come up with in the future!
The gameplay was very hands on and action based. That being said, there were still a handful of challenging (but doable) puzzles throughout the room.
The set was so immersive! There were at least nine rooms in this experience and each one included new and exciting technology.
We were greeted by the owner for this experience and then met our gamemaster in the room. Both were extremely welcoming! It is clear that the owners of Keepers of Balance are very passionate about their rooms and the gamemaster that we had (AJ) was a great asset to the room!
Yes
I’ve been to a lot of escape rooms but there was still a lot of technology in this room that I had never seen before.
The storyline for the room tied in well to the overall concept for the Keepers of Balance. The objectives in the room were straightforward and very clearly aligned with the story.
Medium
As a group of escape rooms enthusiasts, we made it out in about an hour with 0 hints.
High tech
There’s not a single traditional lock in this room, everything is technology based.
4
I would recommend 4-6! Four is enough to complete the game but the space is definitely large enough to accommodate 6 people.
Not scary

There were times that this game reminded me of MagiQuest which I loved as a kid. All of the content in this room is kid friendly and the difficulty level would be appropriate for young escape rooms enthusiasts.
Yes
The gamemaster for this room is immersed in the storyline throughout the game. No other actors are present.
Somewhat
There were times that crawling/climbing/running were included in the room. That being said, the staff let us know that there were alternative ways to traverse the room if needed.
Crawling/climbing/running can be avoided if needed. There are some puzzles that incorporate color (I think just one though if I’m remembering correctly).
Yes
The location was easy to find but it’s not immediately obvious that the location is an escape room. I assume that more signage will be added over the coming weeks. If you go in knowing that the room is located in a warehouse building then it is pretty easy to find.
