The de Lille family owned the Bird Apothecary for generations. Well-known for their magic and crafting talents, visitors came from afar to seek advice and magical remedies for all ailments. The apothecary was named after the family’s cherished bird, which they had miraculously kept alive for generations using their magic. In fact, the entire village thrived on the apothecary’s success and reputation—until the bird tragically passed away. Johann de Lille, the family’s youngest descendant and a brilliant alchemist, had been working on an elixir of rebirth—but he failed to finish it in time to save the bird. The de Lille family has since moved on, but it appears some magic still lingers in the abandoned pharmacy. Could this lingering magic be harnessed one final time? Maybe all hope is not yet lost.

Best escape room in NYC! Brilliantly designed in quite a small footprint. Adorable staff and fabulous theming. Will absolutely be back to try their other rooms!

Charming and fun, with vibrant game masters, Mysstic Rooms is a hidden gem in Park Slope. We loved The Bird and wished we could do it again. We went as a couple, and it was a great date. Highly recommend!

Gameplay

Awesome flow, and the story really came to life in the room.

Atmosphere

Excellent!! So many details and different kinds of puzzles, levels, and objects. The "lobby" is super charming, so you are immersed right as you come in.

Customer service

Our GM, Julia, was amazing. Her timing was impeccable with hints, and she was hilarious and really made us feel welcome and intrigued.

It had an old timey feel, but lots of cool tech!

The room is small and you are navigating all over all the time. Maybe three people MAX. Or 4 if you are very comfortable with each other!

It was pretty hard! Themes were child friendly. A kid really into puzzles would like it, but a younger kid would be bored and confused.

this is my least favorite of the 3 MyssTics despite being their highest rated, but it’s such a high floor, dude. a little cramped w/ multiple ppl, and it’s a little inundating w/ info, but still a blast w/ some creative stuff. not a clean escape cuz we got one hide-and-seek hint to find a cypher, plus two unsolicited nudges that we were on a wrong puzzle & that we had already found a key without realizing yet, but given how much time we had left i really wish those weren’t handheld. firm believer that it’s our responsibility to comb thru everything then push thru the head-banging stuff, but all that time can still be well spent since we’re setting up dominos to fall fast later. tl;dr who cares, everyone needs to do all of these rooms

Really cool room with beautiful decor. A few of the puzzles were a little frustrating in not being able to easily find the clue for a puzzle to function and there was one physical puzzle towards the end that was not fun given the tool that you are provided to work with. Other than that, we enjoyed the plot, unique theme, and the effects.
