Our newest, messiest Mission yet. Disarm the Slime Bomb! It includes 5 hi-tech video game rooms: Space Junk, Laser Vault, Word Bank, Avoidance, and Meltdown. 2 teams can start at the same time, larger groups are staggered in 15 min increments.
40 escape rooms
While this place is open to people with physical disabilities, they should charge these people less because there may be some activities they can't properly do. The staff have a hard time with the software if someone comes in late and they don't explain to you that your assigned time is more for you to show up and then wait in a queue to be able to play. Also a staffer asked my whole group to come back and we thought they had to reset the wristbands but they didn't. It was a bit awkward. It is noisy with neon lights and it fits well with the vibe but some people make not like this. There was a private party but it was in an open space and it felt a bit weird to me. I don't think it's clear on Beat the Bomb's website if: 1. the arcade games (and other stuff) are free. 2. the idea that the time we sign up for, we might not be able to play at that time and we have to wait until others are finished with their games ahead of us. 3. for the checking in process, the staff knowing the software rather than having everyone return to do nothing because two people in my group had to be late. Or, if it was to verify the entire group was together enough, then that needs to be clearly stated 4. For such mishaps, consider offering a free drink for everyone to share. For receiving the pictures and videos, I got the pictures in my group of 3, but I don't know if the other 4 people got their set as I have no access to that even though I was the main and only purchaser for the entire group. At this particular site, 6 max to a room even though they let you book 12 max per payment and an option to book more via other channels. Looks like the slime setup is from the ceiling in NYC based on IG pic rather than from chest level. I think ceiling level is more effective but I am not going to NYC just for a better 30 sec to 2 min effect either lol. The experience itself is pricy, but I can understand why. To save on some money, I used a BF gift card I purchased earlier- which is probably the best deal you can get (30% off). Occasionally, i have seen 5- 20% off. So, if you aren't in a hurry or last minute, and you know enough people want to go, you can purchase in this fashion. If you don't feel your crew is 100% respectable with finances, ask for money upfront and then reimburse them properly if you do get the discount, or don't go with that group at all or be willing to take loss(es).
It was a set of random hands-on puzzles put together. Agility, memory, team work may be important.
The slime setup and the puzzle room themselves were good but the private party being in an open space was weird and the lack of cohesive check-in and procedures describing that we don’t all necessarily get the time we reserved was weird since we weren’t informed beforehand nor does this seem to be on the website
Staff was kind of friendly. Some seemed preoccupied and some didn’t know how to work the machines to process latecomers well.

Since I had a team of 7, we had to split into teams of 3 and 4. For my team of 4, the video recordings didn’t capture properly.
