A set design that immediately gives off strong Indiana Jones vibes. The environment feels immersive and well thought out, and it pulls you into the adventure right away. There’s a solid number of puzzles throughout, enough to keep things engaging without feeling overwhelming. We ended up using one hint for a unique puzzle we never experienced before, but overall the challenge felt fair and satisfying. One moment in particular actually startled me, but in a fun way that added to the experience rather than taking away from it. The ending is a highlight. It wraps things up in a way that feels exciting and memorable, which isn’t always the case with escape rooms. This is a great pick for a couple or a small group.

Following Paradox and our back-to-back escape room day, we tackled Ruins of the Mystic Temple. While I would say this is the easier game between Paradox and Frost Base Z, I enjoyed the ending here the most. The story is that our archaeological team had discovered an artifact that we believed could lead us to an ancient Mayan treasure. Of course, it’s not that easy to just take the treasure. The technology embedded in this room is seamless and core gameplay is around scavenging, making connections, and puzzling. I thought the puzzles flowed well and this would definitely have spoiled me if I were a newer escape room player. It would set the standard for all escape rooms! Gorgeous set and the puzzles worked once we put in the correct inputs. There is a journal that did not help too much. I do wish they added more pages. Even if the pages included flavor text that did not necessarily relate to puzzles. It looked so empty!

Our group of 4 adults, one 9yo, finished in 43 minutes with one clue that we didn't ask for so we must have really been trailing of for the GM to suggest it. The room is loosely linear with a little flexibility for group members to find their own things at times, but I think a group of 4 is still ideal to get different ideas and perspectives on the solves. We loved the technical features, use of lights, and audio. Some puzzles had multiple steps. I wouldn't call them red herrings, but some clues can easily lead you the wrong way quickly and you have to think through them simply, but clearly.

Kids are more likely to get distracted and go in the wrong direction than some other puzzles I've been in. This one is really pretty and there is a lot to play with.

Great room! Very climactic at the end. I had a hard time with some things but my partner is a genius at these and helped us get through.

Amazing props and decor, innovative puzzles. Our group of 4 almost made it out but ran out of time at the end. We spent too much time at the beginning before asking for a clue. But it was the best room we’ve done yet - can’t wait to go back!

The decor and puzzles were top-notch. Truly immersive. All the puzzles flowed logically and it felt like the right amount of props without too many red herrings.

This room had so many great puzzles in it, from start to finish. We realized quickly that the power of observation would serve us very well at Rabbit Hole. Making sure to look around at every little detail was a great help. There was one thing that we overlooked (that was right in front of our noses) that we needed a little nudge on, but otherwise we made it out without much help. And the ending of the room was delightful!

Rating: 4/5 - Immersive temple set with tech that feels magical Pros: βž•No padlocks, it was all tech but it was well integrated and seamless βž•Climactic and unique ending with good overall flow βž•Felt adventurous, like Indiana Jones βž•Set was beautifully immersive and fully custom with great lighting and sound βž•Puzzles were fun and fit the theme well, this was probably their easiest room though beginners may still be challenged. βž•Lots of physical interactions, I loved one in particular that involves a body part... βž•Multiple rooms to explore βž•Bright, high quality flashlights were provided βž•GM (Kelsey) was super friendly and helpful when needed Room for improvement: βž–There was nothing to write notes on βž–I wasn't a fan of the journal with a lot of unnecessary info to read I completed this solo, but I'd recommend 2-4 enthusiasts. They allow single bookings if you call to book, the GM would not need to help with this one unlike their other 2 rooms. My ranking of rooms here starting with my favorite: 1. Frost Base Z (my favorite set) 2. Ruins of the Mystic Temple (my favorite puzzles) 3. Paradox

This room was spectacularly themed - I really felt like I was in a Mayan ruin. A lot of the triggers and effects from solved puzzles were very satisfying. Some of the clues and puzzles were a little harder to connect the dots on than others, but overall this room was awesome.
