Ah, Appleseed Avenue. That beautiful place where humans and puppets coexist. You’ve always wanted to visit, but never quite had the time. And then you see the job posting: Appleseed Avenue detectives and medical examiners wanted, humans or puppets apply. Are you a detective? No. Do you have medical experience? Well, it doesn’t really matter because these are puppets and not humans. You apply, and to your surprise, you get the job. It turns out that the day you are scheduled to work is Election Day. You don’t really follow puppet politics, but you know this one’s a biggie. Five candidates are still in the running for the mayor of Puppet Town in an increasingly tense race. Either way, it probably won’t affect your time on Appleseed Avenue. Right?

Appleseed Avenue was an incredibly fun and unique experience! Our group had two people who hadn’t done an escape room before, and I fear we may have spoiled them for other experiences. HUGE shoutout to Kip! Kip ran our game and was so engaging and thoughtful, and did an excellent job with the puppets. We had a younger member of our group get scared (note that the game itself is not scary, though there are some dramatic moments), and Kip was so reassuring and made efforts to let them know they were safe the whole time. The game itself is so creative! I’ve never seen tech work so smoothly. The puzzles were unlike any I’ve encountered before and drove the narrative along as well. Can’t wait for Shadow Puppet to be released, we’ll be there!

Saved this for #200 and it was worth the wait, the drive, and every penny. My cheeks are still tired from all the smiling. Kip was our host and was also the puppeteer who brought the characters of Appleseed Avenue to life. During the game, you split into two teams: the detectives, and the medical examiners. At first it feels like you’re battling head to head but you’re also working together. With some techy equipment, the tasks were explained really well. It’s like playing Clue. Don’t miss out, check it out. Election Day is ranked high and now I could see why.

Kip was totally epic!

First and foremost my group had an absolute blast when we did this room from start to finish. I always appreciate a good GM and our guy was amazing. This was my 60th room that I’ve done and I would rank this one pretty high up on my list of rooms I have done. It was funny and entertaining for all of us and forced us to work as a team. Depending on what you choose to be in the beginning will determine the rest of your escape room experience but regardless we all had a fun time which is always the most important thing of any escape room…..well that and actually escaping lol. Go do this room with a group of 4-6 people and you’ll have an amazing time with all the puppets

One of the best rooms I’ve ever done, ran by the nicest group of people in LA area. The effects were great, the puppetry is top notch, and the story was tons of fun. You will be split into two groups, and I wouldn’t bring less than 4 people. Having done 50+ rooms, this was top 2, and maybe the best ever. This room and Hope end are the best 2 in LA and completely different but awesome. Couldn’t be happier for the owners, they have a GEM with this room. Will be back for the sequel!

The room was a lot of fun. The pace was enjoyable. I would not call it challenging it it was very immersive and fun

This was a decent escape room but underwhelming considering the price tag. Straight forward puzzles. Straight forward layout. Medium difficulty. Not entirely sure why the “100 minute” time designation. They were super nice and it was fun, just a little misleading on the experience.

What an incredible room. The story was a mix of humor and drama with some very unique gameplay. The one interactive character you had in the room was absolutely hilarious and fun to shoot the shit with if you wanted to entertain yourself or make the experience even more immersive. It’s a more modern room so there’s no classic lock combos or anything like that. I think for what the room is, the way you do the puzzles fit well with the theme and doesn’t take away from it being an escape room experience. It’s definitely more unique than what I’ve seen and the depth of the tech I think is pretty neat and can be messed around with if you’re on the curious playful side. I’ve heard some reviews about the groups being split and not being able to experience both parts and we honestly didn’t find that to be too much of a problem. You can walk in between rooms and communicate with the other group and even switch roles if you’d like. So if you want the full experience, you still can to a point. Overall, one of the best rooms in the area. Honestly wish it were longer, it was that much fun, especially if you have a fun group to go with.

Amazing to to bottom. The production value, the live puppets, the story-- everything was excellent. Just go.
