This is my favorite room currently at this location. We played as a pair and escaped with plenty of time with no hints used. We liked the puzzles and felt there was a good variety and flow. Many traditional locks but also some tech -- nothing innovative, but still effective. My only real negatives are cosmetic: I wish the space was more immersive, and some of the puzzles could be reskinned to help carry the theme.
The rooms at Escape Time do have a diy vibe (which makes sense because iirc they are designed and built in-house) but this room checked all the boxes: good flow, fun puzzles, and everything worked correctly.
I'm sorry I don't remember our game master's name, but she was friendly and I loved her enthusiasm for escape rooms.
Good flow and puzzle variety.
The set wasn't spectacular, but it got the job done. I do wish the lighting was a bit brighter: I get that it's meant to be atmospheric and it wasn't prohibitively dim by any means, but our middle aged eyes don't work as well as they used to!
You're solving challenges to reinforce the wards of a magic school. It's fine as a theme and provides a bit of a wrapper for the puzzles, but there's no discovery or story advancement along the way.
We cruised through this one but I think that was mostly due to experience + good room flow, and not because the puzzles were easy.
Mostly mechanical locks with some tech elements.
We think most rooms are best at 3 (or 2) unless they're specifically designed for large groups with lots of parallel puzzling. This is a linear room.
