He has died, and his house now belongs to his butler—according to the forged deed of inheritance. Hans knows that the correct deed is kept somewhere in the house, as well as his uncle's most valuable treasure—the famous emerald of the goddess Isis. Hans asks Sherlock Holmes to find the stone. Holms is ready to help the young man. When Hans had left, Holms urged Watson to hurry: – "Faster! We have to hurry. We have to make it to the professor's house before the butler returns!" "But Sherlock," Dr. Watson replied, alarmed, "we can't just break into a stranger's house like that! What if the butler is a law-abiding man? Why do you think Hans hasn't lied to us?!" "That's elementary, Watson," Holms replied. "The professor has surely explained in the deed where the emerald is hidden. If the butler hasn't found it yet, then that means the deed favoring the butler is forged!" Friends!
