Permanently Closed - Night Crawlers Pizza began as a whimsical family entertainment center where legendary cryptids came to life through animatronic artistry. Visionary founder Lars Durney dreamed of creating lifelike versions of creatures like the Fresno Nightcrawler, Mothman, Bigfoot, and Chupacabra. But to fund his ambitious creations, he took money from dangerous investors. As the business struggled and pressure mounted, Durney turned to black magic to bring his animatronics to life in ways technology couldn’t. The result was terrifyingly effective—cryptids that moved with eerie realism. While most families found the experience unsettling, a small group of children formed an obsessive attachment to the creatures, treating them like dark idols. Their devotion had a strange effect, awakening something within the animatronics—sentience, awareness, and a hunger for more.
