So here’s the thing. This room is about as un-fancy as an escape room can be. There’s nothing but locks (of all sorts). Locked drawers, locked cabinets, locked boxes, and locked doors. No technology more advanced than a blacklight, a weight-triggered button, and a keypad. But it is a nonstop wall-to-wall puzzlefest and that is my favorite kind of room. I thought it was great fun! The props are getting worn out and the aesthetic is decidedly old-school. But if you like puzzles, you should absolutely play this room!
If you like solving puzzles (and I do) then this room has by far the most puzzles of any of Bust Out’s 7 rooms (as of this writing).

Medium
On the hard side of medium because we played with 2 and there is a lot to do. With a larger group you could move faster and parallelize a few of the steps.

All locks and keys — this was their first room (possibly the first escape room in New Mexico). But I don’t mind locks and keys if the puzzles are good.

We played with 2 and got out, but an extra person or two probably wouldn’t hurt.
Not scary

A lot of the props are fragile.

We had a lovely experience in this room. Definitely an older game without a lot of flash or tech but the puzzles on display were solid and at the end of the day, that’s why I do escape rooms so I was happy. Abby was a delightful GM!

This room is not the most visually appealing as their other rooms but the puzzles make up for it.

Overall good. Could have been more visually appealing, BUT we were warned that this location was less IMMERSIVE as far as visuals were concerned. I still enjoyed myself and found the puzzles to be pleasing!
Flowed well, a few puzzles were underwhelming, but a few were great. So there was not consistency, but the good ones made up for the underwhelming ones.
When we booked the room, the worker did let us know that the company’s other location had more IMMERSIVE/EXCITING rooms, but we picked this one for time reasons. I see what she meant, but I thought it was still good. Good clue density, they made sense, flowed into each other, but were definitely not as “beautiful” as could have been.
Great!

A few puzzles were unique that made me smile :)
Uhh fine. A thumbs down feels bad, but as a da vinci fan (fine art masters) it could have been MORE — but my standards here are high
Medium
Could have been hard but we were 8 people and we could work on multiple people at the same time.

Not super high tech

More people is better for the puzzles BUT the room is small so it comes with its draw backs
Not scary

🌟 A Puzzler's Paradise with a Historical Twist! 🌟 Da Vinci's Secret Escape Room at Business Bust Out Escape Room is a dream come true for puzzle enthusiasts. The mind-bending puzzles, inspired by the genius himself, Leonardo Da Vinci, are abundant and provide a challenging experience that keeps you engaged for the entire hour. 🧩🎨📜 While the puzzles shine, the set design doesn't quite match up. It's functional but lacks the immersive wow factor we expected. However, if you're here for the challenge and love solving intricate riddles, Da Vinci's Secret won't disappoint. 🧩🏛️🎨
