Legend of The Sword

We did this room as a 2 and had a lot of fun. The puzzles aren't overly difficult, but there are a lot of them, so it was still reasonably challenging to get through it all. Think we took about 50 minutes. The theme of the room is well put together and flows well. You do start separated, I only wish there was a little bit more to do through co-op before you join together. I've been waiting years for escape hunt to open some new rooms, so nice to see they have new ones and more on the way.

‘Legend of the Sword’ marks a step up in the escape room offerings from the Australian Escape Hunt venues. Improved set and prop design quickly immerses players in the world of King Arthur. With puzzles in abundance, the room understandably recommends 4–10 players, yet as a pair of experienced players we were able to complete the experience comfortably without rushing or needing more than a clue or two. Although a handful of puzzles and the double use of symbols felt confusing in their cluing, the majority—of which there were many—were enjoyable to work through. Compared with Escape Hunt’s offerings over the past few years, the design feels noticeably fresher, and the improvement is even more apparent when placed alongside the company’s earliest rooms. Continued iteration like this is encouraging to see. Looking ahead, two new experiences at the Gold Coast venue are nearing completion, themed around Pharaohs and Vikings. If ‘Legend of the Sword’ reflects the direction Escape Hunt is heading, there is plenty of reason to be optimistic about what comes next.

Our group was split in half and had to solve puzzles in our own rooms until we were able to open the door between us. We then weee able to work together to solve the room. The room was difficult as the puzzles did not need to be solved in order. Very enjoyable.

Legend of the sword is another great room by Escape Hunt GC. The venue is very fresh and clean and the room was incredible. Very well themed and puzzle flow. Each puzzle brought a new challenge and puzzle style leading to a great finale.
