Temporarily Closed - Welcome to the Valley of the Kings, Luxor, Egypt. The date is 23 April 1894. ​ The excavation season is drawing to a close as the relentless Egyptian sun makes further digging unbearable. Just as the team prepares to depart, Sir William Saville’s archaeological expedition from Oxford University makes a staggering discovery — the tomb of a previously unknown XVIth Dynasty pharaoh. ​ The team prepares to celebrate. ​ But celebration has turned to horror. ​ One of the local diggers has been found murdered in the expedition’s items tent — stabbed repeatedly with a dagger still embedded in his body. His remains have been moved to the camel tent while suspicion spreads through the camp like desert fire. ​ Who had access to the tent? Who had motive? And what, precisely, was disturbed when the tomb was opened? ​ Old rivalries simmer. Professional jealousies surface. Loyalties are tested.
