This is not a game anymore... this is something different. You've somehow foiled Edward Tandy and escaped The Basement in Chapter 1. You've managed to make it out once again after Edward and his assistant placed your sleeping body in The Elevator Shaft in Chapter 2. In Chapter 3, things have changed and you're treading on turf that Edward never expected you to gain access to. You've made it into his Study. In The Study, you and your team have made your way into the upper quarters of the Tandy family home. He Is VERY unhappy that you have encroached on his personal space and he plans to make you pay dearly for this mistake. In Chapter 3, you will find out more than you ever hoped about our matriarch obsessed serial killer. With event and theatrical puzzles, your level of interaction will need to take a step up in order to see the light of day ever again.

I love horror rooms and this was an excellent experience. The live actor definitely heightened the creepiness.
Fun puzzles, nothing too difficult but enjoyable.
I love the horror level at this location!
Very nice staff.

It depends on how your kid takes horror. My 13 year old is pretty sensitive to horror and definitely got nervous during this room, but really enjoyed it in the end.

We did The Study with a group of 7 people. It was a great room, immersion and a great actor but 7 people is simply too many in my opinion for this room! There simply isn't enough going on for it to warrant that many people. If you want to do this I would definitely recommend it with 3-4 people for the best experience.

Bare with me as this review may be lengthy! Let me preface by saying this was the first and only room we’ve tried at the basement so my opinion is based only on this room. Because of the high ratings we expected so much more but my overall consensus is that it seems overhyped due to there being a live actor included in the room. Below are the things I wish I knew before booking: 1. I don’t prefer escape rooms that are less than 3 rooms and this one was basically only two rooms that you have full view of from the get go. 2. You’re only given 45 min instead of the standard 60 min to escape. However, if you looked at just the game play it would probably only be 20 minutes… a lot of the time is taken up because there are no clues given to you at the start until the live actor joins and later hints at things by moving around certain items. The live actor is also somewhat involved in the game play so their acting can take up some time as well. 3. The group starts split into two different areas and so the first puzzle took us about half the game time which was incredibly frustrating as we had no hints to assist us. 4. It’s linear game play but there’s a major clue that’s provided in the first room at the beginning of the game that is to be used at the very end of game. I don’t particularly enjoy escape rooms that use this type of strategy. When I read linear I usually expect the clues that are in that particular room to be used in that room. Overall we were overly terrified for no reason mainly because we assumed there would be jump scares or that the live actor portraying a blind maid was going to do something to us. None of that was the case thankfully god! However looking at just the game play it was sub par and room variation it was very sub par. Truthfully I’ve enjoyed doing some of the better rated rooms from maze rooms and quest rooms than this one. I think there’s so much room for improvement.

This was fun! Puzzles were demanding though. Really had to put our heads together to get out of this one. The production is always good ag the basement !

The study was my first room at the basement. It was amazing in every way. Perfect amount of scary and challenging. The actor made the room so immersive and was so kind after the game. I love this location and cannot wait to do more rooms here

I love how the actor plays a role in the plot of the room and puzzle solving. The way I interacted with the actor is something I’ve never experienced before in an escape room. Unfortunately, towards the end of the room, a puzzle was not triggering despite my party completing the puzzle exactly as instructed after multiple unhelpful hints. Bummer that it caused us to not escape, but the room was fun nonetheless.

I LOVED this room. The basement has this awesome ability to completely immerse you in the game, and I think this room was my favorite out of the four. We loved our live actor, she was so talented! I'm seeing reviews of actors screaming, but she didn't yell at us... don't know what that's about. The puzzles in this room are my favorite out of the four, absolutely incredible. If you can only do one, do this one!!
