You're taking care of Grandma's cat, but once you arrive, Mittens gets spooked and hides.  You have to find where the cat has gone before Grandma comes back home in 60 minutes. She won't get mad, but she will be disappointed.

Its hard to pick a favorite room here as we loved all 6 rooms. This room was probably our least favorite of the rooms here but it was still a lot of fun. It was brand new but everything worked perfectly. The theming and story was great. A few puzzles stumped us by GM Ame'lie gave us great nudges to help us complete with over 4 minutes to spare.

I love Escape Room Herndon.  They create great games, their puzzles are interesting and their customer service is spot on.  So we definitely enjoyed Operation Mittens! 
It was, however, our least favorite room that they have.  I think part of it is the theme. I’ve come to expect an interesting or exciting twist.  I literally jumped at one point of they’d now retired Room 213.  I laughed at unexpected surprises in Cryptid Cove and 8 Bit Escape. The magicians room was a real surprise.  
This one was fine and better than run of the mill chain rooms but my least favorite of their rooms. 
There weee also some difficulties with some of the locks. Combos were correct but wouldn’t  open unless yanked or fiddled with. One puzzle we only figured out by placing objects and listening for the click rather than the logic. As always exquisitely themed and great customer service   It felt like a lot of locks in the first room and a lot of extra stuff (like opening boxes to find cat toys that were never used).

We're not cat people but this was still a super fun room. The puzzles were clever and moved quickly.  No hints but the GM gave us a few nudges to keep us headed in the right direction.

This is ER Herndon’a newest room and it takes the cat theme very seriously. All of the puzzles flowed logically - there is one in particular that is not super clear but we gave them feedback and I won’t be surprised if they change in the future. All in all another good addition to the collection - it probably ranks below 8-Bit and Cryptid Grove for me but a solid 3rd.
