I used to work at SpareTime. As a GM reading these reviews I agree 100%. This is a bowling alley and arcade. The escape rooms are less than an afterthought. They may be cheap to play but that’s for a reason. You get what you pay for. I also think it’s interesting that the description on this app is slightly wrong, they wrote the captain’s name wrong. Also yes, the ending is manual, making it tedious and unnecessarily complicated for everyone involved.

My group was very disappointed in this room. They was 7 of us but maybe only 4 were actually playing. There was a puzzle that was broken that they failed to inform us about, so we wasted time with that, we ended the game with a set of keys that never went to anything. To top it all off, the ending is manual, meaning the game master has to be paying attention, and he was not. We finished and had no idea we did and were completely lost until we finally quite out of frustration. We asked him what we missed all to find out we actually finished he just didn't notice.
Not scary

It was a decent room. It’s got some decent puzzles. Definitely better then the average rooms

I was actually surprised by this room. I played with my 9 year old daughter and we got out with about 18 minutes left. The puzzles were actually decent. The only thing about all of the spare time rooms is that the GMs are pretty terrible. They don’t give anything except what is on a script and just repeat the same thing over and over and there is no closure after the room. It’s not a bad experience if you’re already at spare time, but it’s not worth going out of your way to do.
