Permanently Closed - In this twisted, 18 and up adventure you and your team will need to infiltrate a backwoods encampment of accused serial akiller and cult leader Maliki Jones as known as the Pig Farmer. Maliki is awaiting trial but unfortunately the district attorney doesn’t have solid evidence to convict him and many fear that he will walk free. That is where you come in... You and your team are sent by the district attorney to gather as much evidence as possible to put Maliki away for good. Not much is known about where Maliki lived during his reign of terror but recent evidence revealed that he lived deep in the backwoods of Georgia where he operated a small pig farm. Police suspect that he was disposing of his victims’ bodies by feeding them to his pigs. Police also suspect that Maliki is a cult leader but not much is known about his followers or whether they reside in the encampment. The media has dubbed his cult “The Cult of the 7 Sins” but Maliki has taken exception to that name because he thinks of them more as a family than a cult...

19 escape rooms
Let me start off by saying we did not win this one but it is an ambitious room & we still had fun. I’d put this at like a 6 but there’s only ‘thumbs up/down/heart” on this app so there you go. This is an OUTDOOR escape room - you’re in a small circle of little trailers (20 ft or so). There is a lot going on here - someone from Hollywood, hire this team to write you a serial killer mystery series! The concept was very cool. 7 deadly sins but used as a basis for a cult… There was a lot of detail in the written text + someone really did a great job with the mythology of the killer’s ideals. Although I’m not sure why they did pigs AND the 7 sins since there was so much I felt like it could’ve been 2 different, but great, stories. I’ll get the critiques out of the way so I can go back to praising it. The story is cool but there’s a LOT of it - there was a whole book with tons of pages+text that our group got lost on. Also, because it’s an outdoor game, a lot of props are worn. Not broken, just used + weathered. Which does go with the story, but exercise caution & don’t go running into trailers - watch your step and open/close things carefully. Much like their other outdoor escape room, there’s a LOT of padlocks in this one, but there are some puzzles beyond that. I will say that we got stuck on one lock and then at the end the GM was trying to show us how to open it & he was also struggling so it made us feel validated lol - to be clear, it wasn’t broken, it was just a hella hard lock. I’m not sure if I would recommend it to a lot of people because it was very hard, but in like a “we must’ve translated a number wrong and this padlock won’t open, try again & again” kind of way (not a direct example, no spoilers). Also you’re not in a huge area like their other outdoor room, which is literally a maze. So if you get stuck, you do start to feel it, or in our group’s case, get frustrated, but I will say that our group didn’t work super well together. We had a great time but there were definitely some miscommunications between us, so that combined with hard puzzles did set us back/cut the flow more than a few times. Also, it’s pretty dang linear - which is good but if you get caught on a puzzle you are stuck there and can’t, like, side quest to help in another direction. I think between this one and the outdoor maze, I would recommend the maze IF you know how an escape room works and have played them before already (can’t stress that enough, see my other review for the maze). This one is not for beginners at all, but Hopper’s Cabin, the Hunted & Sleepy Hollow all sound pretty cool, I’d probably give those a shot before this. Back to the good stuff - the story is really cool, even though I’m not sure it flows super well into the gameplay at times, but it’s really nice to see someone actually care about a plot & think it through with a ton of research. Please note this is not a mystery, you’re just trying to “get proof”. The GM was beyond amazing, totally made the game for us, he absolutely outdid himself and helped us even when we were being idiots, plus he was hilarious - hope he becomes an actor someday, he’d kill it. I do think they could’ve added an actor to play the farmer but most of our group was glad they didn’t because they were already freaked out by the idea. I SO recommend playing in the daylight/dusk - I can’t imagine trying to figure out some of the clues in the dark as it was already hard to see some of the stuff. Overall, I’d say this one was ok, but hard to recommend when compared to their other ones, and I *would* recommend their other ones because they do such a great job. Much love to the farm and employees!
Outdoor games = be ready for padlocks + codes! But also a few fun puzzles
Definitely felt like a serial killer’s place! Be careful - these are real, worn trailers/props (idk how they got them into the woods!)
Best staff ever. The owner’s son ended up being our GM and he was so fantastic and incredible plus a great comedic actor (and he rolled with all of our nonsense - my group likes to improv, apologies)
Yes
A rare outdoor escape room! Puzzles not so much, but still enjoyed getting to do one.
Not a mystery, but the concept is pretty cool. The concept behind the Pig Farmer is inspired and the sets really added.
Hard
It relies on codes + locks bc it’s outdoors and my group needed a lot of hints to follow the steps sometimes but no regrets
Mechanical
Outdoor escape room - lots of things to unlock and uncode to stay protected from the elements. Plus the story is set in a trailer park/woods already.
8
We did 5 but I feel like extra help/friends would be good on this one. Maybe even 10 if you can all communicate well without dissolving to chaos.
Spooky
Thrilling atmosphere! Think like an episode of Criminal Minds where they track a killers hideout. No jumpscares or live actors (though I wish there had been… Although our in-character GM killed it!)
15
If your kid loves true crime or Criminal Minds, a good fit.
No
Not broken, but weathered - although it’s an outdoor escape, so that’s to be expected, and it helped make it immersive!
No
No live actors but the GM is nearby to help out (and you will need help)
Very
Have to go in and out of real trailers/doors/steps
Unfortunately, this is not a good escape room for someone with mobility issues due to the areas you need to be able to get in and out of, and it is in the woods so you also have to hike. I would contact them directly as they have a wide range of rooms and perhaps there’s a better fit in a different room. Anyone with hearing issues, the GM is able to help but it is verbal and you cannot see their lips. It is not a very well-lit game (but that’s the atmosphere and again they would have other rooms that I think could fit better for that). I believe there was also something to do with colors to my color blind peeps. Reach out to the company, they will be able to recommend a good room depending on limitations.
No
Very small turn off the main road - give yourself an extra 20-15 to make the turn, THEN follow the signs in for about a half mile down the dirt road, then you’ll be there.
Easy
Free parking once you’re there.
