Permanently Closed - Defeat The Darkness. Find The Master Sword! Golden triangles that grant the wish of whomever touches them: this sacred relic is known as the “Triforce™.” The Triforce was left behind by the Golden Goddesses after they created the realm now known as Hyrule, then sealed away so that none would be tempted to use it. That is, until the Great King of Evil, Ganondorf, used his dark powers to steal the Triforce for himself. Responding to his unending ambition, darkness has begun to cover the land. If left unchecked, Hyrule will soon be completely controlled by evil. There is only one way to escape from this terrible fate: find the legendary Master Sword. It is up to you and your team to become “Defenders of the Triforce,” ally with Princess Zelda and the inhabitants of Hyrule, and obtain the Master Sword. The survival of Hyrule Kingdom rests on your shoulders. Your adventure begins now.

This took place in a hotel ballroom with many teams at 8-top tables. Zelda is awesome and lent itself well to the puzzles, but there are limitations to how innovative you can be with pencil and paper. We did have to get up and move about the room to meet characters from different regions of Hyrule which was cute but not immersive. I wouldn’t recommend if you aren’t a fan of Zelda, but if you are it’s a good enough time.

SCRAP games are known to be quite difficult for the sake of being difficult to have little number of groups be able to pass, but because this is a licensed event with Nintendo, I believe they made it more likely to pass. In any case, it’s a typical tabletop paper puzzle type of escape room which incorporated some use of moving around to different stations to exchange things at the venue. Fun for what it is.
